The One Where Class 3A Place A Bet On The Relationship Status Of Their Residential Introverts, Desperate For Money, Mirio And Nejire Bet They Can Get Tamaki And [Y/N] Together Before Christmas Hits.
Edited: 12-27-2020
December, 19th.
You tried to contain your smile as you walked beside Tamaki Amajiki, your boyfriend, towards class 3-A. It was rare that you got a moment alone. Being best friends with not one, but two of the most extroverted and hyper kids in your class meant solitude and peace was hard to come by. Your hands grazed each other and you knew there were light blushes on both your faces. Despite having been together for a year now, touching in public would always bring a blush to your face and a rush to your heart, although, the raging blushes weren't as deep as they were a year ago. You'd gotten more comfortable now.
"Are you still coming over to my dorm tonight? For uh, date night?"
"Depends, is Mirio gonna phase into your room again?"
A blush spread across Tamaki's face as he remembered the incident that occurred last week. Mirio had phased into Tamaki's room and found you cuddling together. The problem was that you and Takami didn't have a public relationship. When you first got together the pressure felt high and you were both nervous to be a couple around your rambunctious class, keeping to a secret felt better, being together in secret felt more natural and lighthearted. Despite being together a year now, despite having figured out how to navigate your relationship, despite finding normality and familiarity in each other, you had yet to tell your friends. You just weren't ready to give up your secret. It was such a comprising position for two friends to be found in and while luckily you were able to play it off like you just fell asleep paying videogames, you were both nervous, paranoid, and mostly, embarrassed from almost getting caught.
"He's patrolling with Sir Night Eye tonight."
Tamaki stopped walking once you reached the classroom door and did a quick look-see up and down the halls. They were completely barren and the idea that your entire class was just behind one door was both riveting and daunting. Tamaki softly cupped your cheeks and pressed his lips against yours.
"Just you and me tonight. I'll bring the food, you can bring the movie."
"Can it be romantic and sappy?"
"Whatever movie you want I'll enjoy."
You played with Tamaki's tie as you let your head roll against the wall, a smile tugged your lips up. You really lucked out with him—but he would say the same thing about you.
"How about the note-hey."
You were pulled out of your thoughts as you heard your name being said. Immediately you dropped your hands from Tamaki, straightened yourself up and you looked down the halls for someone with red-tinted cheeks. Had you been caught? There was no one there.
"What is it?"
"I heard my name. Uck. This quirk is a blessing and a curse."
Your quirk was wolfism, probably what attracted Tamaki to you in the first place. It caused you to take on the complete form of a wolf under the full moon, however, on normal days you could take on wolf attributes. When you get extremely angry or tried to 'wolf out' as Nejire would call it, you could get long nails, and take on the appearance of a werewolf depending on how far you tried wolfing out. The real gem to your quirk was other wolf attributes you could use. Between seeing in the dark and a better sense of smell, enhanced hearing was amongst it.
You pressed your ear against the door to class 3-A to hear why your name was being said. You could recognize the voice of your classmates, and among those voices were Mirio and Nejire.
"[Y/N] and Tamaki? They're totally gonna end up together."
"No way! They're too shy for their own good. Amajiki would rather die than ask her out."
"I have to agree with [Student Name #1]. Don't get me wrong, Amajiki is a great guy, he's a great hero, but when it comes to girls—especially girls as cute as that—he's complete rubbish."
"Exactly, and [Y/N]... She could probably take down any villain, and she's hot as fuck, but if she had to ask Amajiki out... She'd piss herself."
You pull your ear off the wall briefly. Very brief, and very quick so you could get back to listening. You only grabbed pulled away to grab Tamaki's arm to get his attention urgently, though, it had already been on you.
"They're talking about us. Said were too shy to get together."
With Tamaki's attention on you, waiting for more, and your ear to the wall listening in, you were both anxious to hear more. Mirio's voice came into the mix.
"You gotta give my buddy a little more credit. Last week I saw them cuddling, intimately."
Nejires voice soon followed, hyper and excited on the prospect of you and Tamaki finally getting together.
"I bet if we just gave them a little push they would get together. Just a tiny, itsy, little push."
"Shy as they are? Impossible. We'll all be pros once [L/N] and Amajiki ever romantically get together."
You pulled away, a small smile and chuckle emitting from your face as you looked at your boyfriend.
"We'll be pro heroes by the time we get together."
"Maybe we should come clean... It has been a year."
You hummed in response as you put your ear back to the wall, considering the option. It would be nice. You could finally freely go on dates, you'd have to stop worrying about them finding out, and you could even hold hands in public. Mirio's voice was the next one you heard, and Nejire's was eager to follow.
"Let's wager a bet then."
"What kind of bet?"
"Well, Nejire and I owe you that money. If we can get [L/N] and Amajiki together by Christmas then you forgive our debt."
"Sound fair, but you have a week until Christmas."
"Me and Mirio have this in the bag. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy."
"Alright, you have until midnight of Christmas Eve to get them together, not a minute later. We want picture proof too."
"Deal."
You pulled back with a scowl on your face and turned to Tamaki with crossed arms and a pout.
"What's wrong? What'd they say?"
"They're betting on us! On our relationship. If they can get us together by midnight, Christmas eve, then the money they borrowed for Mirio's PS5 will be forgiven."
Tamaki looked up and down the halls briefly before rubbing his hands up and down your arms in comfort. It was upsetting to the both of you that they were betting on you both. Did they think you were that hopeless? So hopeless and unable to get together on your own that they were able to make a quick buck off of you?
"What happens if they lose the bet?"
"Then the money gets doubled. They're betting a lot of money on us. Do they think we're that bad? Well they're wrong! Cause' here we are."
Tamaki pulled away from you as he spotted your teacher coming down the hall, rushing to get to class. He gave you a shy, coy smile as he grabbed your hand to pull you with him to class.
"I guess we'll have to make sure they lose their bet then. After all, they don't know we know."
You walked into the classroom together, pretending you hadn't heard anything of their little bet. Tamaki tugged you closer than usual, not enough to make it seem like you were in a relationship, but enough to be questionable. You had a feeling Tamaki had a plan in motion, and you were already catching on.
"Tamaki buddy! [Y/N]! We were just talking about you both."
You and Tamaki stopped from heading to your desks to talk to Mirio and Nejire who were facing you with grins on their faces.
"Oh? Really?"
"Yes, Mirio was just talking about this new movie that came out! We should all go see it together, and get something to eat too."
"That-that sounds good."
"Great! We'll go on the twenty-first, does that work out?"
You both threw your friends perfect smiles and nodded before turning away and moving to the back of the class where your desks were. They were going to lose the bet, that you were sure of.
December, 21st.
"What's our plan?"
"It's simple really. We're gonna act super cuddly. We're gonna let them think their plan is working, until the end of their bet hits, and evidently, it didn't work and they're stuck paying double the owed about of a play station five."
"I-uh, I'm not sure I can go through with this plan... Cuddly? In public? With everyone watching?"
Tamaki fiddled both his hands and looked at his feet nervously. The idea was scary. Getting intimate and close when there was a chance you could get caught was one thing, but holding hands and being cute and cuddly with the intent to be seen was another thing. It was daunting and scary.
"I know, public affection... It's scary... But just think of it like it's just us alone. It's just me, no one else, and if you get anxious I'll be there to calm you down."
"Okay, you'll be there... We've got this."
Tamaki placed a quick kiss on your cheek before going over to his closet. He dug through his laundry until he found what he was looking for, one of his sweatshirts. It was one of his favorites, he wore it often and there was no way your friends would mistake who's it was. He walked back over to you, a budding embarrassed and happy feeling coursed through his chest at the idea of you wearing his hoodie.
"If our objective is to flirt and act cute, then you should wear my sweater... Please?"
"Great idea, this is really gonna push them over the edge. That's smart. They're gonna lose this bet so hard."
Tamaki had a blush reddening his cheeks at your burst of affirmation that he'd done a good job. You and he looped your arms together before walking out of his dorm room and down to the main entrance of the dorms. Nejire and Mirio were waiting for you, and you smiled at them as you moved your looped arms to linked hands instead. You swung them back and forth as you walked to make it catch their attention.
"So... What movie are we seeing?"
"That new one. The romantic one. It's so romantic, and Christmas themed."
"Nejire, you gotta be more specific, that describes a lot of movies."
"The one about the best friend's who fall in love. You'll love it, it was practically made for you."
You knew Nejire would slip up like this. She got too excited about stuff and made little mistakes. She was a bad secret keeper, you loved her dearly but she was not your go-to person when you had a secret. Another part of your plan was to torment Nejire and Mirio the entire time. They didn't know that you knew, and you knew just what buttons to push to either get them to confess or paranoid enough to think that you knew and keep them on edge.
"Oh? You think so? Why?"
Mirio shot Nejire a look as if to say be more careful. His bank account was riding on this bet. He didn't want to pay back the money for the play station console, let alone have it doubled. He was confident he and her could pull this off, provided you didn't know. Nejire scratched the back of her head and laughed it off.
"Oh, come on! You can't tell me you've never thought of our little Sun Eater like that? Everyone's thought of their best friend romantically at least twice! I mean look at me and Mir'. We were best friends and now we're dating."
Nejire was smooth with her words but had Mirio not shot her a look, you were positive she would've slipped up about the bet. Instead, she fixed her words and hinted at feelings between you and Tamaki but making it seem like she was referring to herself.
"I and Tamaki are just friends."
Tamaki moved his hand from inside yours and wrapped his arm around your shoulders. He squeezed your shoulder with his hand to help stop his shaky hand as you and him looked at each other briefly. He was nervous, you could tell as he looked down at you and spoke out his words.
"Best friends."
"Mm. The bestest."
You leaned your head against Tamaki as you uttered your words. You saw how Mirio looked back at you and then nudged Nejire in the side so she could not so discreetly steal a look at you and Tamaki. You smiled, just fakely playing into their plans of getting you and Tamaki together. It was a short walk, and before long Tamaki was pulling you into the movie theater, making sure to open the door for you to which Mirio nodded approvingly as he whispered into Nejire's ear. He was proud his friend was acting like a gentleman, his plan was going to go so well, at least, that's what they thought.
You stood in line together, Tamaki and you never leaving each other's side. Occasionally Tamaki would move his hand from your shoulder to your hair, playing with it nervously, a habit he picked from cuddling with you late at night. Mirio paid for Nejire's ticket, courtesy of her being his girlfriend and they stood off to the side while they waited for you both to pay for your tickets.
"Hi, um, can we have two kid tickets for 'A Christmas kiss', a large dr-pepper, and a large popcorn?"
The man behind the counter rang you up and eyed you warily, trying to decide if he really should run you up as a child or adult–decidedly, he didn't make enough money to care how old you were. With a tired sigh, he gave you your total.
"That'll be twenty-one, nineteen."
You went to pull out your wallet from your purse, where you had hidden and concealed candy from the dollar store, but Tamaki had already beaten you to it and paid for you using MooglePay. You turned to him, a grateful smile on your face. You knew Mirio and Nejire were watching so you took a deep breath, leaned up on your tiptoes, and pressed a kiss against his cheek. You stood back down on flat feet, and with blushes on both of your faces, you carried your popcorn and pop to meet Mirio and Nejire. That was your first kiss in public, at least in public when people were looking.
"Thanks for paying Tama'. You're the best."
You made sure to say the words out loud in front of Nejire and Mirio, planting the seeds of hope and romance in their pretty little heads as blushes remained on your faces. You walked down to your designated theater room, devious plans in your heads. You both sat in the back, next to each other and secluded from other people whereas Nejire and Mirio sat in the middle. Throughout the entire hour, they kept throwing you and Tamaki not so discreet looks, trying to see how cuddly you were acting.
"Do you think they know how obvious they are?"
"Mirio's always been obvious like that. He wouldn't know discreet if it hit him."
Tamaki wrapped his arm over your shoulder and you leaned your head against his chest as he saw Mirio take another look. He had a beaming smile, he thought his and Nejire's plan to get you together was working out. As the credits rolled on the screen and the dimmed lights brightened, Nejire and Mirio got a better view of you both. You fed Tamaki a piece of popcorn, knowing they were watching you both intensely.
You and Tamaki fell into a peaceful order as he fed you a piece in response. It was normal, normal, and natural to be this way with him. This was how you acted together in the confines of your bedroom, the only difference was that you were out in public. Forgetting they were even there, Tamaki cupped your cheeks and pressed a deep kiss against your lips. Naturally, like clockwork, your body responded by deepening it and moving your lips back in sync.
"Oh my gosh, you kissed! Ahh, it's so romantic, are you gonna date now?"
"Neji' calm down, it's their first kiss."
You and Tamaki abruptly pulled away. You didn't know what kind of shows Mirio watched, but that was not what a first kiss looked like. That was what two lovers who forgot that they were out in public looked like. You and Tamaki stood up and laughed, lacing fingers.
"I mean... If Tamaki asked me out, I wouldn't stop him."
"I– If [Y/N] wants to date me. I mean, [Y/N], will you go out with me."
"I'd like that."
This was not how your plan was supposed to go.
December, 22nd.
You paced back in forth in your dorm room, your feet making a constant flow of steps and probably annoying the student living on the floor below you. It wasn't your fault, not really. This was one of the attributes you got from your wolfism quirk. It was in your doggy nature to pace when you got anxious and upset. It was biological. Your boyfriend sat on your bed, a nervous frown played on his face as he ran his shaky hands through his hair. He wasn't sure if he should comfort and soothe you or continue to silently wallow in self-pity.
"They didn't even do anything, they just took us to a romantic movie. They didn't even pay."
"I'm sorry, did I-Uhm, did I ruin the plan by kissing you?"
You momentarily stopped your pacing back and forth to stand and snap your head over in your boyfriend's direction. Anyone else would have found your actions weird. The way you stopped so fast and snapped your head over to him at an insane pace would've been creepy. Again, it was just biological reflexes due to your quirk. If he was holding a piece of bacon you would've turned quicker.
"No."
You walked over to your boyfriend and straddled him on the bed. It wasn't sexual or sensual, your quirk was just taking over, your deep-rooted wolfy attributes. Your instinct was just to comfort your mate. He was stressed, anxious, and worried, and you could sense all of those feelings. You pulled his hands out of his hair and laced your fingers through his. They were still shaky as you smiled down at him.
"No, it's not your fault. Never your fault. You just kissed me, we both got carried away."
"But we lost the bet, I should've paid more attention to them. I should've watched to see if they were looking."
"Uh-uh. None of that negativity. We lost the battle, not the war."
You rolled off of Tamaki, both worried you were crushing him and bashful to be in such a compromising position now that you'd come down from the primal wolfy high.
"The conditions to the bet are that we have to kiss and say were together to [Student A] and [Student B] by midnight of the twenty-fourth. That's three days away. We're gonna invite Mirio and Nejire over, and we're gonna act like the cutest couple ever. Then tomorrow, we'll stage a huge breakup fight."
"That's a really good plan."
"Of course it is, I have the best plans."
Tamaki cupped your cheeks by hooking his slender fingers under your ears and pressed a quick kiss against the skin in between your eyebrow and let his head rest there.
"They'll think they've got the bet in the bag, and then we'll rip it away."
"I like it. It's sneaky, and it just might work."
You pulled out your phone and punched in the password before pulling up the group chat Nejire and Mirio were in with you and Tamaki.
[Y/N]: Do you guys wanna come over to my dorm? 👉👈 me and tamaki want to thank you for going out with us. It was rly, enlightening.
Nejire Hado: Yes!! We'd love too!!!! Does this mean your dating now?!!!
You locked and put your phone back into your pocket knowing answering Nejire would be futile because she would just ask more questions once she got inside your dorm. You nuzzled yourself into Tamaki, both cuddling and scenting him–not that he'd ever know that's what you were doing.
"Can you give me a hickey?"
"What... What?"
"A hickey. I want a hickey. Think about it, if Nejire and Mirio saw it, they'd be so happy thinking they're gonna win."
"They're on their way up here though..."
Your hands gripped the sides of Tamaki's shirt, pulling him closer to you and your nesting head.
"Even better, we'll get to avoid the 'are you a couple' questions."
"Fine... Just-just doesn't be too loud, I don't want anyone hearing."
Tamaki pulled down the collar of your shirt to get to work on marking up your skin. He didn't know what was going on with you. Lately, you'd been clingier, rubbing on him and getting freeskier. Hornier, he supposed, regardless he gave in to your whims. He pulled you closer and latched his mouth to your skin, sucking, tugging, and pulling to make a bruised mark. The door burst open and he was working and a crimson blush covered both of your faces.
"Nuh- Nejire! I- I told you to stop barging in my room like that."
"Sorry [Y/N] but I–Oh Mirio! I told you they were totally getting it on."
"Well, yeah... He's my, uhm, my boyfriend now."
December, 23rd.
Tamaki Amajiki paced around his bedroom floor. He fiddled with his hands as he tried to go over your plan in his head, carefully going over every detail, and every word you spoke out to him. It was the day of your fake fight where you would 'break up', the night before Christmas Eve to spring Nejire and Mirio into panic mode.
"I- I don't think I can pull this off."
"You can do it."
You walked over to Tamaki and wrapped your arms around him from behind. You rested your head on his back, reassuring him it would be okay, and reassuring him he would do good. It brought a crimson blush to his face, but regardless he was very nervous.
"What if I mess up?"
"You're gonna do good, okay? None of what we're saying is real, alright? It's fake. We're just convincing Mirio and Nejire, and it doesn't affect what I think about you. I'll even sneak over tonight to see you."
"Okay. Okay, do you wanna go over some lines?"
"Nope, I've got thick skin, besides Nejire and Mirio are on their way up and I don't want them overhearing our rehearsal."
Tamaki pulled out of your iron-clad grip and turned around to kiss your forehead tenderly, enjoying the soft space of skin.
"I love you alright? No matter what I say, it's fake."
"I know, I love you too. Do you want a codeword, in case we're too harsh? Something to say 'hey, dial it back'. Like, uhm, squid? I think I could work that into an argument."
You pressed a quick kiss against Tamaki's lips. You would have liked to deepen and further it along but you heard a knock on the door. You assumed this was to give you privacy and make you and Tamaki more comfortable in hopes of furthering your relationship. You and Tamaki broke apart and got ready to start screaming at each other once they walked in. Mirio and Nejire came in after giving you and Tamaki a moment in case you were fornicating in some type of way.
"I can't believe you."
"Whoa, what happened?"
Mirio was quick to try and intervene. He had rarely seen Tamaki sound so upset and get worked up. It was alarming that you were the person that he had it directed at. Mirio had never seen Tamaki look at someone with as much love as he did with you. Tamaki would move mountains for you, and Mirio saw it. That was why he originally took the bet in the first place.
"I took [Y/N] out for breakfast this morning, and she was basically flirting with the server."
You had to fight off the smile on your face as Tamaki came up with the lie so quickly. You had been inside his dorm all morning playing video games together and eating junk food, a chip bag hidden half underneath the bed was there as proof. Nejire started to bite her thumb nail as she watched Tamaki get upset. Truthfully, she and Mirio had planned to slip special animal meat in his food after the movie a couple of nights ago but decided against it once you guys kissed. They wanted to get him territorial and jealous over you, clearly, that would've backfired.
"I wasn't flirting with him! All I did was say thanks and asked for a refill."
"Yeah, you were really thirsty for him, weren't you?"
"Maybe I wouldn't be so thirsty if my own boyfriend felt comfortable kissing me in public."
You had to stifle a laugh, you wanted to giggle so hard. None of this was true, but Mirio and Nejire were eating it up like butter. Your performance was so good, and Tamaki was doing so great.
"Maybe I'd be more comfortable kissing you if you didn't wolf out and get so possessive all the time."
You crossed your arms and tried to compose yourself as tears flooded to your eyes. That last comment hurt. It really hurt. You were really insecure about it and scared that your wolfism would affect your relationship. Worried you'd get too possessive and jealous, and worried that he'd find your scenting on him and habits weird. You start sniffling as the tears start to come down faster. You knew he didn't mean it. It's fake. It's fake fight, but hearing him say it felt so real.
This was your own idea, why were you being such a baby?
"Well, maybe I don't want to be with a mean squid face. Here's your sweater back, we're over!"
You ripped his sweatshirt off of your body, despite not really wanting to. It was a comfort item for you. Smelling his residue scent on things he's previously worn really brought warmth and comfort in you. On days you were particularly sad, and hurt, on days you felt pure anxiety and fear, having a piece of him with you helped. It helped you, but you still had to put on a show for Mirio and Nejire.
"Give that back to Squidward for me, will you?"
You tossed the sweater at Mirio who easily caught it with a worried expression. Although the bet was at stake here, he was worried for you as he saw hot tears make their way down your face. You took off out of Tamaki's room, making a dramatic exit with Nejire following hot on your tail.
You wanted to win the bet–or rather have your friends lose the bet since you never made the bet, but it hurt so much it didn't even matter.
December 24th, Christmas Eve.
The following day you and Tamaki kept a distance as promised. It was part of the plan. Stay separate until after midnight, then, and only then would you reveal your relationship. You had both mutually promised to keep your distance, but it hurt you both. You hadn't shown up at Tamaki's dorm that night like you promised you would. He knew that he had taken it too far after you called him a squid, but he hadn't meant to. He didn't think you would take such offense to it, he hadn't known how sensitive you were about it. To put it plainly Tamaki felt horrible. He was trying to figure out a way he could fix this but he kept coming up empty. How was he supposed to fix it when you were supposed to be ignoring each other?
On the other hand, you felt just as horrible as Tamaki did. You felt embarrassed and ashamed for being so sensitive and emotional. You didn't know what came over you. You wanted to blame it on the wolf aspect of yourself, but that only made you feel worse. You couldn't help but nibble on your lips evIry time you caught Tamaki looking over at you. On one hand, you were happy he was looking at you. You were worried you upset him with your little outburst and ruined things, this gave you hope and a sense of relief. On the other hand, you still wanted to win this bet and Nejire was following you around trying to get you to talk to Tamaki, whereas Mirio was doing the same for his friend. You both didn't want to talk, embarrassed about how things went, worried they'd messed things up on their end.
"I see you watching him, why don't you just go talk to him."
"It's not that simple Nejire, you wouldn't understand. You and Mirio have had a long picture-perfect relationship, you're not Tamaki and me."
It wasn't like other times Nejire gave you advice. Other times you could give it to her straight and she'd give you the best input, this time you were secretly trying to foil her and Mirios plans. You couldn't just say, it was a fake fight and I overreacted. Or alternatively, it was a fake fight but his words sounded sincere, what if he really doesn't want me. You couldn't be honest with her. Especially not now, knowing she was going to take every little thing to Mirio, who inevitably, would tell Tamaki.
"So make me understand. Try to get me to understand you. You and Tamaki are perfect for each other!"
"No, we aren't!"
Your words came out in a small yell, and most people around could probably have heard what you said. You backtracked your words, embarrassed as you crossed your arms and hugged them to your chest. It was eleven-fifty, and Nejire had ten minutes for her and Mirio to get you and Tamaki together, but at this point, she didn't care. Ten minutes wasn't long enough, she had accepted defeat unlike Mirio, all she could do now was remorsefully wish with you and Tamaki were a couple. She thought you were both blind, she had never seen two people more fitting and perfect for each other.
"I'm sorry for yelling, but he doesn't like my wolfism. You heard him, and that's not- that's not something I can change about myself. It's biological..."
"[Y/N] I-"
"You know [L/N], if Amajiki isn't interested in you anymore I wouldn't mind taking you out."
Some random guy had cut into your conversation with Nejire. You hadn't seen him here before, he looked young, most likely a first-year student. You wondered how he even got in there, it was a Christmas party at the class 3-A dorms, intended only for third-year students. The proposition was completely preposterous. You and Tamaki weren't completely over. All he had done was insult you, it was a fake insult, and while you were simply positive he was going to break up with you, you weren't going to flirt with another guy just yet, and definitely not a first year.
"I- uhm... well- I..."
"I think what my shy friend is trying to say here is no. She's not interested, trust me."
"Awe c'mon!"
The guy leaned back against the food table he was standing in front of. You tried not to scrunch your face up in want and desire. He was leaning into a meat tray. A meat tray. The delectable treat looked so scrumptious, sausage, and cheese so perfectly put out for display. He shouldn't be leaning so hard, he'll ruin it. You wanted to devour it in an instant. Truthfully that was where your mind went when you stuttered out your reply and Nejire had to come to your rescue. You didn't care for the first year, you just wanted the meat tray.
It didn't appear that way to Tamaki. Watching from the distance all he saw was you staring over at that guy with such a distinct look in your eyes. A look of wanting and hunger. He knew he messed up by insulting your quirk. He didn't know you'd get so hurt, but he should've thought about that first. If you had insulted his quirk like that, he'd be upset. Tamaki slowly walked forward, closer and closer trying to hear what the young first-year student was saying to you.
"You'd love going out with me. I'd appreciate every part of you and your body."
"Oh, um... Look, I'm sure you're a nice guy and all... But like my friend said, I'm, um, I'm just not that interested right now."
"I see the way you're looking at me, quit playing hard to get. I bet your quirk really gets you going in bed."
You took a step back as the guy took a step forward. You should have told him off, you should have handled the situation better. You should have asserted yourself from the beginning instead of letting Nejire handle it, you should have shown you weren't a pushover, maybe then the guy would've gotten the point. You took more steps backward, embarrassed, and stunned at what he was implying to you. You truly just wanted the meat platter he was in front of. As the guy was about to touch you, Nejire was about to step forward and intervene when Tamaki jumped into the equation. Tamaki grabbed the guy's wrist before he could touch your hip and pushed his wrist into his body. The boy cowered back and cradled his arm from the strength Tamaki had used to squeeze him and make him cower back.
"That- uhm, that wasn't polite. She said she wasn't interested and when a girl says no, she means no. I suggest you leave before every third-year female in this room decides to tell you that themselves."
"Right... um right. Sorry."
The boy mumbles out a bad apology lowly before he quickly made his way out of the building. Tamaki didn't see the boy going very far in the hero course. He turned to you and hesitantly rubbed his hand up and down your arm, unsure if you would welcome his touch.
"Are you okay?"
"It's fine, I'm fine."
"I'm sorry for upsetting you yesterday, I didn't mean to, please don't break up with me."
Part of your lip quipped up into a smile at how sweet Tamaki was acting. He didn't do anything wrong. He didn't need to apologize. It was you, all you.
"Tamaki... you don't need to apologize, I overreacted. The truth is... I'm really insecure about my quirk. I- my wolfism makes me act funny. When I go through my, you know, I react more like a dog going through heat. I get really clingy, and horny, and jealous, which can be a big turn off to some people. In all honesty, I thought you were going to break up with me."
"No, god no."
He rushed his words out as he pulled you into his arms. His hands rubbed up and down your back, trying to soothe you knowing you were on the verge of tears. He pulled back and pressed a kiss against your head. His soft lips felt good.
"I'm never breaking up with you, you're it for me. Heart, soul, and life. I don't care if your clingy, or horny, or jealous, because you'll be mine, and I'll be yours."
A smile warmed your face as your hands came up and caressed Tamaki's suit. You gripped the sides of the dress jacket and pulled him down a few inches to press a kiss against his lips. You both smiled into it, happy to feel each other again, even if it was in public.
"Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas... Can we deal with Mirio and Nejire later? I just wanna cuddle you right now."
"Yes, no, yes. We can cuddle but you have to help me sneak the meat platter out of here."
Tamaki placed another soft kiss on you, this time your lips, and he smiled down at you before pulling you into the direction of the meat platter. You were special to him, so even with everyone's eyes on him and you, class 3-A's resident shy students, Tamaki started piling meat into napkins and fitting them inside his pocket. If you wanted a meat platter, then you deserved a meat platter. tI didn't matter who was watching, not when it was you with him.

He loves me, he loves me not…
Those were the same words that you kept repeating for a few days now, a flower representing if the man you have a crush on likes you back. To any other person, it seems stupid that a flower will judge your love life but you heartily disagree. Flowers and love have always been associated with one another and from a viewpoint, it makes sense on why picking petals off of flowers can determine your fate with the person you love.
Jung Hoseok. You two knew each other but at the same time you didn’t. The first time you two caught each other’s eyes was during elementary school. He was one of the popular kids: with his cheery smile, bubbly personality, and warm aura, nearly everyone became friends with him. You, on the other hand, were more of a wallflower. You only had a few close friends and you spent your time reading books instead of playing games. Some people call you boring but who cares about them.
During recess in 1st grade, you decided to read in the middle of the field. It seemed ideal, the grass was green and the sky was a beautiful shade of blue. There wasn’t even a cloud in sight. All of a sudden, a soccer ball came speeding towards you and hit you straight-up in the head. You couldn’t remember what happened but when you opened your eyes, you saw a worried Hoseok hovering face-to-face on top of you in the nurse’s room.
“Y/N-ah! You’re okay! I’m so so sorry that I hurt you! I should’ve known you were there.”
“It’s okay. Uh, my head kind of hurts…”
“I’ll go get some ice for you!” When he passed the “ice bag” (which was basically a frozen paper towel), you felt a peculiar feeling. You didn’t know why but there were sparks when you grabbed the ice bag from him. What was it? Eventually, he had to leave for his classroom but when you were free to leave the nurse’s room, he offered to walk you to class. By then, you figured out what that feeling was. And it became a 12-year crush on the boy who hit you with a soccer ball.
Like some coincidence, both of you attended the same college together. You didn’t expect to see anyone from your school during your freshman orientation but when you saw the familiar sunshine smile, a wave of relief and fear washed over you.
Hoseok being the extrovert that he is made friends with nearly the whole campus, is in a sorority, and hosts the biggest parties the university has ever seen. You continued to be the loner that you were but luckily you found a close friend in Nayeon.
As you and Nayeon were strolling across campus, you saw Hoseok and his girlfriend talking and chattering with Starbucks in their hands. You felt a pit of jealousy in your stomach, internally yelling at yourself for not having the guts to tell him how you truly feel.
However, you expected him to go out with someone. He can’t stay single forever just for you because he barely knows you and your feelings. If he did, then you would move to another state out of embarrassment.
“Y/N, stop looking otherwise he’s going to think that you’re creepy!” Nayeon giggled, pushing you away from the couple. “Why won’t you ever talk to him?” “I can’t. We didn’t really interact during high school.” “Look, college is about starting a new life. Come on, you’re 18 now! You’re an adult! Don’t let your fears get in the way of having fun!” “Besides, they’re dating!”
“So? You can be friends with him!”
“Not now, I have class. I’ll see you around!” You made way inside the building and into your sociology class, the professor setting up his computer for a lecture. You didn’t know a lot of people here and the person who sat next to you dropped out.
All of a sudden, a guy with rainbow-styled clothes and a vibrant aura entered, giving a high-five to the professor and waving to your classmates. Your eyes widened, the man who has been invading your thoughts is actually in the same class with you.
Hoseok scanned the room for a place to sit, his face brightening when he saw an empty seat next to you. Your heart started to race, he’s actually going to sit next to you! “Oh, Y/N! I didn’t know you were in this class! I just got moved here and I’m so glad I found someone I know!”
“Yeah, uh, hi. I thought you were gonna sit with someone else.”
“Nah, actually I wanted to talk to you ever since orientation but I never saw you around. However, I saw you walking by and staring at me and Julia.” Oh, that’s his girlfriend’s name. Interesting.
“Heh...no..you didn’t see anything!” “You’re cute. I hope we have more classes together!” After everyone has settled in their seats, the professor started going on about the lesson but you couldn’t care less about what he had to say. The way Hoseok was so invested in the powerpoint but occasionally stopped to play games was more intriguing than whatever was going on. No, he must think you’re crazy. You snapped out of it and attempted to focus on the screen.
“From this week’s lesson, I am going to assign you all a project. Your will be grouped by pairs and they will be determined by the place you’re sitting in right now.” You internally counted down the pair of seats from the row you’re in and sure enough, you’re paired with Hoseok. He smiled at you, holding your hands excitedly. You obviously reciprocate the feeling but your head didn’t let you show it.
“Yay! We’re going to be doing our project together! This is going to be so fun!” You smiled and nodded, trying to come up with things to say but your mind was blank.
“W-wait, would your girlfriend be okay?” Wow Y/N, that’s the first thing that you say? Way to get your man.
“No, I think she’ll be chill. Besides, you’re like one of my childhood friends so it’s cool.” At least you’re a friend in his eyes.
The session ended 15 minutes later and you couldn’t wait to get out. As you quickly stuffed your books and laptop in your bag, Hoseok tossed a little airplane at your head.
“That’s my number if you want to talk about the project and...other stuff. If you’re free tomorrow, do you wanna get started? There’s a party I want to go to at the end of the week and I want to get this out of the way.” “Uh, sure. I’ll text you later,” you said shyly, zipping your bag up and exiting the room. You felt your body sweat and your heart pound rapidly. Your brain still can’t wrap around the fact that Hoseok sits next to you and you will be working on a project together.
“Hey, what’s up? You look like you just got out of a haunted house,” Nayeon said as you approached the familiar bench where the two of you always sat.
“Hoseok just transferred to my class, he sits next to me, and we’re doing a project together!” “Ooh, go get your man!”
“No no, this is bad! I always act so weird around him! Plus he wants us to work on it tomorrow! What should I do?” “First, relax. Take a deep breath,” Nayeon instructed, placing her hands on your shoulders as you slowed down your breathing. “Next, don’t worry about a thing. Try to push aside your feelings for him and talk to him as you would with another person.” “Only he’s my crush for about 12 years!”
“So? I know it must be awkward due to your feelings for him but if you act awkward, then you wouldn’t be close to him. And you want that, do you?” “Yeah…” “You got this, don’t worry!” Nayeon’s words gave you some hope and encouragement, which made you feel better. She was right, you can’t keep acting this way for long. Even though he was dating someone else, at least you’ll have him close as a friend, right?
You never told anybody this but you secretly kept a daisy and you picked off the petals every day. It was down to four petals and you decided to take two off.
He loves me, he loves me not.
However you didn’t want it to end with a negative note so you picked one last petal off.
He loves me.
The next day came and you were sitting at a local cafe, waiting for Hoseok to arrive. Since you arrived a few minutes early, you had enough time to go over what you want to say and if you look good enough.
Surprisingly, he came on time and even gave you a mini hug. You watched as he placed his bags on the ground and pulled out his laptop.
“Hi Y/N! I hope I didn’t keep you waiting.” “N-no, not at all! You came on time actually!” “Good, well do you want to order anything at first?” “Sure, I really want coffee right now!” As you two waited in line, you shyly gazed over at Hoseok who shined brighter than any sun in the world. You accidentally brushed his hand with yours, causing him to laugh.
“How come we didn’t talk much throughout high school? I can’t remember the last time I really talked to you except yesterday.” Hoseok asked, scanning the menu for a drink he’d like. “I don’t know, I guess we had different classes and you were more popular than me…” “But I would’ve been friends with you no matter what.”
“Would you? I’m not exactly the most popular girl in school.” “Yeah. You seem chill and it’s nice having a reserved friend against all my loud and hyper ones. I hope you take it as a compliment.” “Uh, I do. What are you gonna get?” “I’ll have a vanilla latte. It’s a classic but it’s iconic at the same time.” “I’ll get what you’re getting.” You watched him order and talk casually to the cashier, a common thing you’re scared of doing. It must be nice dating him, he sounds like the guy who can be the life of the party but still has an eye for you.
“Do you want me to pay for my-” “No, I shouldn’t have to make you pay. I mean they say the gentleman pays for the first study date,” he replied, swiping his credit card. Oh my god did he just say-
A few minutes later, the cashier gives you your drinks with your name scrabbled on the cupsleeve. You and Hoseok grabbed them at the same time, accidentally bumping together. You blushed at the proximity, jumping back with fear. Geez, why are you acting like this? You really are a fool.
An hour later and both of you made decent progress on your projects. Hoseok decided to take a break and scroll through his Instagram while you worked on some slides.
“Hey, Y/N, do I follow you on Insta?” “Uh, I’m not sure. I think so?” He checked his phone again, a frown on his normally joyful face. “No I don't. What’s your username?” “I’ll type it in for you.”
He nodded and passed you his phone. You quickly typed your user, hit the follow button, and went back to his profile. He had a lot of followers due to his popularity and personality, which shocks you considering that you’ve never met someone with over 5,000 followers.
“Y/N, ever since I saw you yesterday I wanted to get to know you. I feel bad that we barely interacted throughout high school and I want to make up for that. So just hit me with what you got.” He leaned forward, interested in hearing what you have to say.
Your mind immediately stopped working as you quickly tried to come up with an interesting conversation. And the only event you could think of was the time where he hit you with a soccer ball in elementary school.
“Actually Hoseok, we have known each other since we were 1st graders.”
“Really? Were you in my class back then? God, I can’t even remember what I had for lunch yesterday but you manage to remember that.” “Yeah, there was a time when I was reading out in the middle of the soccer field. I was the perfect target to be hit which is what you did. I don’t remember what happened after the ball smacked me in the face but when I woke up, I saw you waiting for me. You offered to give me ice and walk me back to class when my headache stopped. We barely saw each other after that but that was still one of the most significant moments in my life.” “Oh yeah, I still feel bad that I did that-” You took a deep breath, trying to work up the nerve to say what you’ve always wanted to say to him. It’s now or never, just do it!
“Hoseok, ever since that day, I’ve loved you since.” Your words shocked him, his mouth dropping open and his eyes the size of saucers. He tried to comprehend what you said when all of a sudden, you burst into tears.
You shouldn’t have said it, it was too soon. Your vision blurry of tears, you stuffed all your stuff in your bag and ran out of the cafe.
“Wait, Y/N! Wait! Hold on, we need to talk about this!” “I’m sorry Hoseok, I shouldn’t have-” “No, this is important! Y/N, look at me!” He spun you around and forced you to look at his face. You tried to blink away your tears and he quickly flicked them away.
“Y/N, are your feelings true? Did you love me for that long?”
You nodded slowly, tears threatening to spill from your eyes again. It was so scary waiting for him to either reciprocate those feelings or walk away.
All of a sudden, he gave you a kiss. And it wasn’t like any other peck, it was one full of want and passion. He quickly pulled away and gave you a tight hug.
“Thank you for telling me how you feel. And I like you back.”
He broke the hug and wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you two walked towards campus. You felt your heart slowly relax, he likes you as well! Maybe all that pining and worry was for nothing! “Y/N, it’s getting dark so do you want to stay at my dorm? I don’t have a roommate so it’s okay,” he said, heading the opposite direction from the path that leads to your dorms.
“Sure thing. It’s okay as well.” You were totally freaking out inside, you’re going INSIDE his dorm. After a few minutes, he opened the door and you carefully walked in, your nose wrinkling a bit. Iwas messy due to the overflowing trash bags full of takeout and beer bottles but overall it wasn’t too bad. You hung your bag on a random coat stand full of jackets and baseball caps. There was a blanket and a pillow on his couch where you could possibly stay.
“Sorry if it doesn’t look too appealing, I’m kind of lazy to clean my room,” he sighed, stuffing the full bags in a random corner. You shook your head, carefully sitting down on his couch. Hoseok sat down next to you, loosely laying his hand around your shoulders.
“So, what do you want to do Y/N?” “I’m not sure. Is it bad that I want to stay like this?” “No, I do too.” He moved closer to you, your bodies touching and you felt heat rise up to your cheeks. You lied down on your back and you felt his presence above you as he slowly leaned closer to you. “Do you want to do this?” You couldn’t think of the right words to say, were you really about to do it with your crush? It’s now or never, Y/N. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for.
“It’s okay, I want to do it. But I’m not experienced in this type of stuff,” you confessed.
“Then I’ll teach you. I’ll go slow with you, I promise.” He kissed you again, the same feeling like the one outside. It was slow and romantic, just the way you imagined. He probed his tongue in front of your mouth, asking for entrance to which you let him in. Hoseok started to remove your T-shirt but stopped immediately to ask for your permission.
“Are you sure this is okay with you?” “Yes, I promise. I’ve always wanted this to be with you.” “Good. I’ll make you feel so good.” He pulled off the shirt and carefully took off your white bra, a mundane action that made you feel butterflies. After everything was taken off, you immediately covered your chest. You weren’t used to being exposed to someone like this, much less the guy you love.
“Don’t worry baby, you look beautiful. I promise,” Hoseok assured, gently removing your arms. He latched his mouth on one of your nipples, sucking on them feverishly. You let out a loud moan before biting your lip to stifle them. What if someone was there? “Don’t hide those moans for me, baby girl. I want to hear them,” he murmured, his mouth still on your breast. After hearing his words, you started to let out a series of moans and whimpers. While his mouth was on one, he was using his fingers to play with your nipple and tug on it a bit, a loud whine escaping your mouth.
“Please…” “Aww, does it hurt, little girl?” You shook your head as he slowly made his way over to your jeans, cupping your covered heat. You could feel yourself become more wet since no one has ever been near that area before and you wanted him to touch you more. Hoseok hastily pulled off your jeans and underwear, throwing them off to the side.
You felt embarrassed that you were completely bare in front of your crush and you wondered if it was too soon to back out of this. But what’s done is done and you’ve wanted him to see you like this for a long time so you decided to have some confidence. That’s what Nayeon told you, right?
“Did you ever have something in you?”
“No, this is my first time ever doing this. I’m kind of worried.” “It’s okay, I’ll help you. Now, I’m going to do a bit of foreplay to get you ready for my dick. It’s basically like warm-ups before the actual thing. Don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt.” You felt his fingers linger near your entrance and you nodded at him to enter. He suddenly purged a slender finger inside you as you let out a moan, him slowly thrusting to make you comfortable.
“You look so cute, taking my finger like it’s my cock. I don’t even know if you’re ready to even take it.” “I am! I’m ready! Please, keep moving!” You felt a wave of confidence overcome you, surprising yourself and Hoseok. He turned his shocked expression into a smirk, curling his finger and adding another one inside you.
He was stretching your walls out well to later accommodate his dick, making scissoring motions inside and finding your g-spot. All of this pleasure was too much for you as you held onto Hoseok’s arms and fed his ego with mewls and whines. You couldn’t form a single word due to the pleasure he was giving you, even though it was only two fingers.
“Ah, ah, Hoseok, I-” He suddenly adds a third finger and keeps thrusting quickly, his palm rubbing your clit. His palm was quickly replaced by his mouth as he sucked on it harshly.
“You gonna be a good girl and cum for the first time? Are you close?” he teases.
“Oh my god, oh, Hoseok…” You felt tiny beads of sweat drip down your forehead from the heat and pressure, your walls tightening around his long fingers.
You felt a knot in your stomach which you assumed that your orgasm was coming soon. Hoseok could also tell and kept going faster, making fast come-here motions and playing around with your clit.
“You’re close now, are you? Such a good girl as I stretch your tiny pussy out for my big dick. That’s right baby girl, cum for me now. Cum all over my fingers and face.” His words were your breaking point as you felt that knot snap, your orgasm arriving. You moan out Hoseok’s name as he stares at your cum flow out of your system. He sucked on his fingers before taking some of your juices and bringing it to your mouth. You suck on them wantonly, causing Hoseok’s dick to twitch. Maybe someday you can suck him off with your cute mouth.
“Good girl, you did so well baby,” he praises, making your stomach have butterflies from his words. You watch as he strips himself to his boxers, your eyes widening on what could be under them. He palms his cock for a bit, staring into your eyes seductively.
“Are you ready for this?” You nodded rapidly, wanting to have his dick inside you. He slowly pulled down his boxers and his cock immediately sprang up, looking erect and large. You gulped at what’s going to enter you, Hoseok smirking at your reaction.
“Don’t worry, it’s going to be okay. I’ll go slow at first, I promise,” he assured, the tip of his cock slightly brushing against your pussy.
You braced yourself for him to enter you, whining as you clenched around his length.
“Oh my fucking god, you’re so tight. You’re doing well baby,” he groaned, slowly pulling out and pushing in. You found yourself at a nice pace but after a while, you signalled him to go faster. This is really it, you’re going to be losing your virginity to him! He started to ram into you quickly, his dick filling you up and hitting many different nerves inside. You clawed on his back, trying to keep yourself steady from the insane pace he was going at.
“Look at you trying to take my cock, such a cutie,” he coos, toying around with your breasts again. You let out a mewl at his words, lewd sounds filling the room. Your walls started to clench around him tightly causing Hoseok to let out low grunts and moans.
The now familiar feeling of your orgasm started to make its way again, the knot returning as you approach it for the second time. Hoseok could tell that you were close as well with the way your cunt was tightening around his dick.
“You going to cum again, baby? That’s right, make a mess on my big dick,” he grunts, slowly reaching his own high as well.
You let out a moan as your juices came pouring down again, your whole body shaking and your cunt sensitive from cumming twice. Little white stars started to appear in your vision from how much pleasure you had. Hoseok started to thrust faster and suddenly pulled out, stroking his length to release all of his seed onto your stomach. After it stopped spurting out, he took a minute to catch his breath and leaned down to kiss you on the lips.
“How was it, sweetie? Was it okay?” he asked, caressing your cheek.
“I-it was great. Thank you so much, I didn’t expect it to be like this.” “I’m going to get a towel to clean you up and some clothes. I’ll be right back,” he smiled, leaving the living room for a bit.
You stared at the ceiling, thinking about what you’ve done with him. Even though many people your age think of sex as just a way to get pleasure, it meant a lot to you because you were giving your body and trust to a person. Obviously, Hoseok was very special to you and you were grateful that it was him who took away your virginity. You loved him enough to let yourself be exposed to you and you knew that he must’ve had sex with other girls but did he feel something special with you? Was it only you who were feeling this way.
Hoseok came back dressed in a T-shirt and shorts and in his hand was another T-shirt and a towel. He carefully wiped off the cum that landed onto your stomach and thighs, making you get goosebumps from the touch. You put on the T-shirt he gave you, the bottom of it reaching your thighs.
“So am I going to stay here for the night?” “Of course! Why would I let you go back home at this hour?” “Uh, am I going to sleep on the couch?” “Hell no, it’s too stained for you to sleep there. You can sleep in my bedroom with me.”
You felt your heart beat faster from the thought of sleeping next to him. He picked you up bridal style since you were too sore to walk and laid you down on his bed. Since it was late and there wasn’t anything you needed to do, you decided to get ready to go to bed.
Hoseok watches you go to sleep and decides to join you. He stares at the ceiling, thinking about what he did with you. It was nice seeing his childhood friend again and he definitely enjoyed having sex with you but he felt different after. When you confessed your feelings for him at the cafe, his heart felt relieved for some reason. It was different than when his exes and current girlfriend confessed.
Do I love Y/N?
He leans over to you and lightly strokes your hair, finding you adorable. He wishes he found you sooner since that day in elementary school, he wishes he asked you out earlier. Maybe tomorrow he could ask you to be his girlfriend. But that would mean he’s cheating and he was never a big fan of breaking someone’s heart just to be with another person. It made him less of a person and all of a sudden, he felt guilty about what he did today.
You were such a sweet person and he didn’t want to harm you by rejecting your feelings...but he doesn’t want to break the trust of a person just because you were a childhood friend.
Hoseok’s heart ached as he decided to let you go due to the guilt of cheating on his girlfriend, even though he would much rather have you here beside him.
The next morning, you found yourself awake with Hoseok sitting next to you. You smiled as you remembered what happened yesterday, feeling better than ever.
“Good morning, Hoseok!”
“Ah, good morning, Y/N!” “Do you want anything for breakfast?” “Listen Y/N, I need to talk to you about something. It’s important so please listen. Uh, yesterday shouldn’t have happened and I feel like you shouldn’t have slept with me.”
“Wait, why?” “Do you remember that I have a girlfriend?” “Did you break up with her?” “No...so that means I cheated on her.”
You felt your heart break as Hoseok avoided eye contact with you. Your first time was with someone who had a girlfriend and he cheated on her with you.
“You’re right. This shouldn’t have happened. Why was I stupid enough to let you take my virginity?” “I’m so sorry, Y/N. I don’t think we can see each other anymore.” You felt hot tears drip down your cheeks, feeling embarrassed and foolish. The man you loved took your virginity but it meant nothing. It was just a one-night stand.
“I’m going to go now, I don’t feel comfortable here. But I have a question, you know how much I loved you for over a decade. How much that night meant to me and how much you mean to me. Did you ever feel the same way? Did you ever feel something between us during that time?”
You looked at Hoseok’s face, scanning to see if there’s any emotion. He looked into your eyes but he shook his head. Hoseok desperately wanted to say yes but he just couldn’t. He couldn’t hurt someone else for you.
“N-no, it meant nothing to me. I guess it was just a one-time thing. This shouldn’t have happened, I’m sorry that I never told you before.”
You let out a sob as you made your way out of his bedroom, grabbing your bag and putting on your shoes so you can leave. You looked back to see if Hoseok followed you but he still remained in his room. With your heart torn into pieces, you trudged out of his dorm without a final goodbye from him.
It’s been a few hours since you and Hoseok saw each other. Luckily, you didn’t have class together but you stared at him talking with his girlfriend like nothing never happened. He locked eyes with you and there was an intense connection for a moment but you broke it since that’ll never happen again.
You pulled out the flower which only had a petal remaining. Even though flowers don’t accurately predict your love life, this one knows what will happen between you and Hoseok. You thought he loved you back but it turned out to be nothing. A tear fell out of your eye as you pulled out the last petal, the answer evident from the now-lifeless stem.
He loves me not.
a/n: hope you guys don’t hate me too much over the ending! love y’all <3

Physically, I’m about 5 ft tall.
Some of my hobbies and interests include reading tarot, listening and dancing to music, talking to/being around my friends, and painting. I also love true crime documentaries (I absolutely LOVE buzzfeed unsolved) A few dislikes include: unloyal and unhonest people, and people who bring down the mood with ill intentions (also shrimp?? Idk it might be bc I’m allergic 😩). My type includes someone who can take some light-hearted banter without getting upset or going too far, guys who often initiate more romantic things in a relationship, and someone who isn’t too hyper.
Again, congratulations and thank you so much! :) <3

MIYA OSAMU
you guys were that one slowburn, friends to lovers, angst, fluff, one sided feeling, cliche trope.
ya’ll really said buy one take all (jkjk)
honestly so sweet but also so exciting
you two met in your first year, the both of you were classmates.
the both of you weren’t really close? just the occasional banter or waving across the hall.
you were actually a lot closer to atsumu, since he was a lot louder and outgoing compared to osamu.
wingman atsumu? wingman atsumu.
until that one overused scene happened where you and osamu bump into each other happens.
he does that thing where he catches u with one arm and you give him goo goo eyes and then you two just stare at each other and fall in love??
obviously atsumu is watching this happen and is about to fall over laughing because of how stupid the bohh of you looked from his point of view.
he helps you up and awkwardly scratches the back of his head and laughs nervously. he’s blushing of course. we’re making this as cliche as possible.
you’re super embarrassed but you have no idea if you’re blushing because a) you nearly fell over in front of everyone and that was humiliating b) osamu’s really hot
you two stutter a lot and you guys just end up walking away in defeat
atsumu walks over to you and slings an arm around you
“damn, you got the hots for my brother”
“whaaaaaaat? noooo pshhhh”
he deadpan looks at you and shakes his head and cackles
“ill get you two together.” and then atsumu just walks away like that.
of course you think nothing of it, since atsumu usually makes claims he has no intention of living up to, but this time he was determined.
he starts his day by changing his seats, much to your shock. since atsumu almost regularly expresses how his seat was the best spot in class.
“samuuuu, let’s change seats.”
“why”
“pleaseeee”
at first osamu was hestitant, but sooner he agreed just to get his brother out of his face.
he sits next to you and by this point, you are gaping and ready to implode.
“hey, i’m osamu”
“uh, yeah. nice to meet you, again. i’m y/n.”
he nods and turns back to his notes, reading through them.
days pass and you’re not getting anywhere, not that you’re trying to get anywhere in the first place. it was just, uneventful.
you walk to school, minding your own business when you spot a colorful poster on the hallway wall.
“prom”
oh shit. oh shit. oh shit. with the way atsumu’s wiggling his eyebrows and accentuating it, you knew he was up to something.
he, keyword: attempts, to look at his brother sneakily. of course, the guy can’t be sneaky even if his life depended on it.
you turn to look at osamu and he catches atsumu’s eye then turns to you.
about 2 seconds of excruciating eye contact and you turn away and speed walk to the side of the hall where atsumu was standing.
“i hate you”
“whyyyy? i didn’t say anything yet!”
“yet? you still want to say something after you give me the most painful 2 seconds of my life?”
“what 2 seconds?”
“tsumuuuuu, you’re my best friend, but no words can express how much i want to sock you int he face right now.”
a masculine chuckle comes from behind you and you jump. a hand is placed on your shoulder as you turn around.
miya fucking osamu.
“if you’re not gonna sock him, i’ll do it for you.”
“what-”
BAM. and atsumu is on the ground, groaning. he pats you on the back before turning his attention back to atsumu.
“that’ll teach you to mess with my seatmate”
“she was my seatmate before she was yours!”
osamu walks away and you help him up, laughing.
“why are you laughing? it hurt!”
“deserved”
“y/n, u suck.”
and off the blonde boy goes, chasing his brother, no doubt to hit him back.
you enter the class, and just the second before the bell rings, the twins enter.
atsumu has a bump on his head and osamu a bruise on his cheek
osamu sits next to you and you grimace at the sight of his wound.
“oh, what happened to your face.”
“tsumu was being stupid”
“ME?? YOU WERE THE ONE THAT TACKLED ME! THAT’S WHY WE FELL OFF THE STAIRS.”
you spend the rest of the day focusing on class, ignoring atsumu’s quips about how you should ask his brother to prom.
once school ended, you were ready to go, but just as you were about to leave, you feel a tap on your shoulder.
“we should go to prom together. if you want to, of course.”
“i mean, yeah, of course, but why? we don’t necessarily know each other well?”
“take this as my way of saying i wanna know you better, then.”
“yeah, sure.”
on prom night, osamu was more than welcoming.
everything he could do to make you comfortable around him, he did.
“i wanna court you.”
“you wanna what?? i mean, i heard you clearly, i think. can you just clarify that, i think i’m going insane.”
“given, i’ve only known you for a few weeks, but you seem interesting and you obviously already have my brother’s approval, so if it’s alright with you, i wanna court you.”
“like, court?? as in you want to spend a whole lot of time with me and stuff on the lines of that??”
“yeah, plus you’re cute when you’re all blush like that.”

Hihi! Could I get a ship with stray kids and Ateez?
I am 5’5”, with brown hair & eyes.
Things I love: Rainy days, gentle sunshine-y (golden hour) days, stars, long road trips, hugs, cuddlllleeeessss, smiles, jokes, coffee, forests, big open fields with trees, music, and the feeling of coming home.
My aesthetic is: Cottage core and dark/light academia, some indie, and add some soft girl, and...well I could go on lol — but I don’t really have one, it depends on my mood
My ideal date: It doesn’t matter 🤷🏻♀️ as long as I’m with some I love and what we’re doing is not outrageously illegal — but if I had to choose, it would be going to a cafe, talking about ourselves, listening to music, then going outside and dancing in an empty parking lot to some random music we put on, and going home for cuddles.
My hobbies: fangirling (obv), reading, writing, singing, imagining things, drawing, dancing, spending time with friends, and laughing.
My mental state: I’m generally a pretty happy person, until I retreat into my mind — then I get sad/depressed very easily.
Things I’m afraid of: Heights (tho I’m slowly getting over this lol), losing people, and I have some social anxiety.
Social: If I don’t know people; I tend to come across as very reserved and studious — until someone says something I know about/enjoy, then I enthusiastically say a few words 😂. Around people I know; I’m very clingy, and hyper, as well as laugh-y/smiling. I actually love cuddling them, and stealing their clothes (mostly sweatshirts). I will occasionally have days where I literally say nothing expect the bare minimum — usually ends in a cry lol.
Good things about me: umm... I love taking care of people, and I’ll do my best to always be there for you (even if I’m sleepy), and I enjoy baking so I’ll give ya lots of sweets lol
Bad traits: I can become very distant, and I’m known for my short temper, if I don’t have mental space for you then I’ll ghost you for a few hours, I have days where I’m just sarcastic and moody to the max, lol I could go on but I’ll stop here
Personality overall: I’m an ambivert, who loves people and solitude at the same time, a spontaneous, but calculated person, a loving, extroverted bean, but also a venerable, lonely lil monster.
(My love language is physical touch/loving words)
(Ps I’m a Libra, a ENFJ/ENFP...if ya wanna know)
Thanks so much! Hope you have an amazing day 😊
Hii! Thank you so much for requesting!! I really hope you like it :)
Stray Kids:
I ship you with…
Seungmin
I feel like you guys are kinda similar😄
You guys would go out for a walk during the day and he would always be taking pictures of you(they always look beautiful especially when it’s golden hour)🤗
He would always joke around and push you off of him when ever you come and cuddle him but would then squeeze you into a hug if you stopped trying🥺
Because you like baking and your at the dorms you usually bake with Felix, Seungmin gets a little jealous but is happy in the end he’s getting food😇🤣
He will act like he hates when you steal his sweaters and cardigans but he loves it🥰
You guys would be that couple to sit in comfortable silence😊
He would always ask you to sing to him when you go to sleep because he just loves your voice so much😚
Your first date was probably at a cafe😁
I feel like you both understand that each other need space sometimes 🙂
I feel like Seungmin doesn’t care that you might “ghost” him for a few hours cause he isn’t on his phone all the time😂
He laughs at your sarcasm😆
Overall you and Seungmin have a understanding of each other that is not like anyone else🥺
ATEEZ:
I ship you with…
San
You both want to make each other smile and happy all the time😄
If you were ever feeling upset or down he would blast the music and drag you off the couch and dance and sing until you feel better🥲😚
He would say he is going to bake with you but ends up just eating the batter off the spoon at the end😆
When you guys cuddle expect Shiber to be in the middle of you two🤣
San loves to play around so you guys would play out in the puddles after it rains😁
I feel like he wouldn’t understand your fear of losing someone at first but once he fully understood it he would always reassure you that he would never leave you🥺😭
He loves how you always listen to him after a long day as you play with his hair(he’s weak)☺️
He definitely tackles you a lot😇
Overall you guys are really sweet and adorable together🥰

So I took a personality test to day and got the result of an Architect (INTJ) and for some reason Hawks just came to mind so I wondered, based on the Myers-Briggs classification what personality would he have? Also just out of curiosity, and you don't have to answer, but what would yours be? (I took the quiz on the website 16personalities)
Fantastic question, anon! Last I took the test a few years ago I was an INFP (The Mediator) myself which I think still largely applies. It can be easy to mistype yourself, let alone someone else, so I’m going to use evidence from the manga as much as possible and go through the individual traits one by one to see what I can find. I considered taking the test myself in character, but realized especially with how long the test is it could be easy to either overthink it or hyper-fixate on consciously or unconsciously preconceived traits, so I decided an evidence-based approach would be more accurate.
An important thing to know about Meyers-Briggs personality types is that they’re not all-encompassing, exclusive, or immutable. Some people have a tendency to make ill-informed preconceptions about people or treat it like a horoscope. This is the wrong way to apply a Meyers-Briggs personality type. They are insights to the instinctual way people are likely to act and perform and are only a tool to aid in things like working in a team, putting them on a path to personal success, and exercising emotional intelligence when interacting with them. Many people may still display a different “type” in different settings so I’ll be as cognizant of that as possible as I go through.
So with that, let’s get started!
Extroverted [E] or Introverted [I]?
This is a fantastic example of how preconceived notions can completely mess up a characterization of someone as well as someone displaying a different type from what they might naturally display. Hawks is great with people, can work a crowd, and is a people-pleaser through and through. To many others, he would be a dead ringer for an extroverted. However:
In his own ideal world, Hawks has time to himself, to spend alone at home, doing whatever he wants freely. If he was an extrovert this dream might be a little more geared towards still being a top hero, but he’s said in so many words he wishes he was a little further down the ladder.
At this point I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring up that a false dichotomy of introvert/extrovert has developed over the years. Humans require interaction with other humans to stay healthy and they also require alone time. Too much or too little of either will give them problems over time. It’s a tad frustrating to me that this personality test requires an either/or answer since I thoroughly believe that Hawks enjoys human company and would naturally seek it out in his ideal scenario, just in greater moderation than he does now (which would make him more of an ambivert); but given the fact that at this point in time he seeks more opportunities for solitude, I’m going to answer that he lands, somewhat surprisingly in the Introverted category.
Observant [S] or Intuitive [N]?
This one is also tricky at first, but a deeper dive into their definitions gives us a pretty solid answer, I think. According to the website:
“These traits describe what people are more likely to do with the information gathered from the world around them. Intuitive personality types rely on imagining the past and future potential of what they see. Those with the Observant style are more interested in observable facts and more straightforward outcomes. They prefer to avoid layering too much interpretation on what they see.“
So does Hawks take a complicated, theoretical approach to information he’s exposed to, or does he call it like he sees it? Does he act in the here and now, or is he more bigger picture?
While he’s actively working toward a definitive goal, he has a tendency to only focus on the information in front of him as it happens. Dabi’s going to release a super powered Nomu? Better get the best hero around to fight it. Need to infiltrate the League of Villains? Just hammer away at getting Dabi to trust him and open the door for him.
He tends to look at the road in front of him to figure out if he should go left or right, but doesn’t always seem to realize he could be being taken for a ride. In his section of the new character book, his relationship with Dabi is described as “they are using each other” (note the present continuous tense) meaning that Dabi is stringing along the number two hero for his own purposes, but Hawks seems to have no idea of it. Just his altercation with Dabi at the warehouse after High End is proof he’s too trusting of the information he’s given at face value.
He may have contingencies (such as holding onto the one feather), but they do not span very far and wide into the future depending on any way things go. It’s always, “If plan A doesn’t work, go to plan B” and never a step or two ahead of that or a consideration of other possible outcomes. Did he have a plan in case High End actually killed Endeavor? Based on his reaction, I don’t think he really thought that was a possibility even though in the end it almost happened and left him with a permanent scar.
This, to me, puts him safely in the Observant category.
Thinking [T] or Feeling [F]?
Hey, this one is actually easy! Hawks is incredibly intelligent, but he is far from rational. A good litmus test for this is to see how someone reacts to failure. A thinking individual will view an undesirable outcome as useful data for the future and possibly just a result of things beyond their control, but a feeling person will view the same as proof of inadequacy that needs to be remedied through personal improvement.
He consistently reacts to situations emotionally first. Even when Tokoyami really proved himself during his internship, it was an emotional response that changed his attitude towards training him and the next generation.
Even Endeavor describes him as,
Hawks has always been emotionally expressive, responsive, and driven. In his interactions with others, he displays a huge amount of emotional intelligence - you can see it in the way he ever so slightly adjusts his interactions with others based on the response to him and the outcome he’s looking for. He pauses for just a second to get a cool selfie perfect for a girl’s social media timeline, he’s polite and considerate carrying a little old lady’s bags up the stairs for her, and he appeals to a little boy’s sense of style and flair when asked to sign his bag. The way he and others feel at any given moment is almost paramount to him.
This is a trait I don’t see changing in his character over time unlike some of the others. He’s clearly a Feeling type.
Judging [J] or Prospective [P]?
This one I also think is easy to figure out. Basically, does he prefer a set, methodical schedule or is he a more spontaneous, spur of the moment person?
Yeah, this is Hawks we’re talking about. He’s shockingly adaptable and almost seems to fall into routine for the sake of others instead of his own sanity. Most of his decisions are made on the fly, and he’s known to improvise.
He’s more than capable of planning ahead, but prefers to operate as the wind blows which makes him a solid Prospective type.
Assertive [-A] or Turbulent [-T]?
For funsies, I just want to pop in and check in on this last trait since it’s here. Basically, all it asks is his confidence level and response to stress. I’ve more or less answered this earlier, but when encountering a situation potentially way over his head, he may outwardly display confidence and roll with the punches (his _S_P traits at work) but when it comes to results, especially failure, perfection and personal excellence are all that matter. I feel very confident classifying him as a Turbulent personality.
Final Results
So with that we get a final Meyers-Briggs personality type of ISFP-T which according to 16 Personalities is the Adventurer type personality.
“Adventurer personalities are true artists, but not necessarily in the typical sense where they’re out painting happy little trees. Often enough though, they are perfectly capable of this. Rather, it’s that they use aesthetics, design and even their choices and actions to push the limits of social convention. Adventurers enjoy upsetting traditional expectations with experiments in beauty and behavior – chances are, they’ve expressed more than once the phrase “Don’t box me in!” Adventurers live in a colorful, sensual world, inspired by connections with people and ideas. These personalities take joy in reinterpreting these connections, reinventing and experimenting with both themselves and new perspectives. No other type explores and experiments in this way more. This creates a sense of spontaneity, making Adventurers seem unpredictable, even to their close friends and loved ones. Despite all this, Adventurers are definitely Introverts, surprising their friends further when they step out of the spotlight to be by themselves to recharge. Just because they are alone though, doesn’t mean people with the Adventurer personality type sit idle – they take this time for introspection, assessing their principles. Rather than dwelling on the past or the future, Adventurers think about who they are. They return from their cloister, transformed.Adventurers live to find ways to push their passions. Riskier behaviors like gambling and extreme sports are more common with this personality type than with others. Fortunately their attunement to the moment and their environment allows them to do better than most. Adventurers also enjoy connecting with others, and have a certain irresistible charm.”
It feels like a pretty accurate assessment of his personality, so I think I did a good job. This was a lot of fun, and I feel like I’ve even gotten to know him a little better! Thanks for sending in the question, anon, I really enjoyed it!

7 Tell-Tale Characteristics Of The INFP Personality
Comprising only four percent of the population, the imaginative INFP is a rare Myers-Briggs personality type that stands out from the rest. As an INFP myself, I’ve found that I frequently instinctually recognize other INFPs, sometimes after only a few minutes of conversation.
INFPs are complicated, magical, mysterious beings, and for a while I thought (in typical INFP fashion) that something cosmic was cueing me into the presences of others who share my four letters. After thinking about this for a while, I’ve realized there are some more earthly continuities that bind us together.
So, here are seven characteristics of the INFP personality type that will help you recognize when you encounter one of us introverted-intuitive-feeling-perceivers, too.
1. We’re selectively observant
INFPs think about everything — and then think about everything again, reliving it all in their dreams. It’s no wonder so many of us are writers and artists; it helps to have a space where we can externalize at least some of the thoughts buzzing in our heads.
When someone says something that seems unusually or even unnecessarily critical or thoughtful, like a hyper-specific statement about a small detail that most people wouldn’t bat an eye at, I know I might be talking to an INFP. That’s not to say that we’re super-observant — sometimes we’ll miss logistical details because we’re caught up thinking about something much larger (or weirdly specific).
For example, I took the same route to and from school every day growing up, usually spending the whole time staring out the window. But when I started driving myself, I discovered I didn’t actually know the way! During all those years riding the bus, I’d noticed countless details about the trees or specific signs, and of course I’d thought about many large-scale problems and questions, but I didn’t memorize the twists and turns of our actual route.
When someone is deeply observant and sensitive to the world around them but also gets so caught up in moments that they temporarily forget the existence of time — someone who’s willing to talk about everything with me until the sun comes up but forgets to check the time of the last train home — I’m pretty sure I know their personality type.
2. We’re deeply self-reflective.
When someone casually mentions complex personal observations about the nuances of their own mind early on in a conversation, you might be in the presence of an INFP.
For example, Fernando Pessoa, a Portuguese poet and intellectual from the 1920s — whom I firmly believe was an INFP — wrote an entire book consisting of observations of his own mind. Called The Book of Disquiet, it’s written from the perspective of several of his alter-egos and contains statements like, “My soul is impatient with itself, as with a bothersome child; its restlessness keeps growing and is forever the same… I attend to everything, dreaming all the while… I’m two, and both keep their distance.”
3. We have a strong sense of compassion and empathy.
Though we spend a lot of time thinking about ourselves, INFPs are not self-centered. Actually, I believe that our self-analytical minds generally make us very compassionate and open to others, because by observing our own thoughts, many of us (like the aforementioned Pessoa) come to the conclusion that we are fragmented beings, constantly in flux. This allows us to relate to many types of people — because we’ve seen them all in ourselves.
INFPs tend to worry a lot about how others are doing. We’re the kind of people who’ll ask if you’re okay, then become convinced that you’re lying when you promise that you really are fine.
Nicknamed “the Mediator personality type,” INFPs will never be content with lives dedicated only to themselves and their own achievement, nor will they be satisfied lodged in systems of inequality and complacence. We truly value compassion in ourselves and others, often above all else.
It pains us greatly when others are in pain, sometimes so much so that we take on that pain. This can be harmful, especially in relationships, where we may take on the entirety of the other person’s mental weight. Wanting to be close to the people you love can backfire when you have a mind as open and malleable as an INFP’s, because this sort of exchange can be like carrying another person’s backpack while hiking, then falling down the mountain under the weight of it, thus ending the entire expedition.
When someone seems at once very compassionate and emotive yet also hesitant, perhaps afraid to open up too much, this person might be an INFP.
4. We’re creative dreamers.
Growing up, my grandfather constantly said to me, “Earth to Eden,” and I’ve heard this expression from others in countless forms. I’m always “in my own world,” a “space cadet,” etc. When I meet someone who seems “out of it” — distracted, elsewhere — but who also seems to truly want to listen to what I have to say, I might be in the presence of an INFP.
Being dreamy has its perks and consequences. Many INFPs are great writers — J. R. R. Tolkien and William Shakespeare were some of our own — and we don’t spend all that time elsewhere thinking about nothing; our imaginations make us artists and visionaries, and they allow us to come up with big, grand ideas about how to make the world a better place.
Unfortunately, sometimes this compromises our ability to deal with the minutiae of daily life, and it’s often hard for INFPs to reconcile the grand vistas we discover in our mind with doing small tasks like cleaning the house, remembering dates, and completing tax forms.
5. We can be awkward and quite self-conscious.
Like many introverts, INFPs can be quiet and reserved. Even when we get comfortable around certain people, we’re rarely able to escape the coil of our own self-awareness, which wraps around us like a well-intended but overpoweringly cloistering grandmother’s hug.
INFPs can be a little bit — and I say this with all the love in the world — awkward, unsure of what to do with the collections of bones and flesh we have been given.
Certainly, we can be graceful in situations we are comfortable in. I, for one, have always thrived when performing on stage, and INFPs can ace interviews and presentations when we get into a groove. In conversations, we breathe sighs of relief when we can talk about things we’re interested in or know a lot about, or when we can listen to someone else talk.
But when making small talk with people we don’t know well, we can be identified by visual cues like shifting around on our feet, struggling to make eye contact, and not knowing where to put our hands. When I see someone squirming like an insect under a microscope at a bar or party, I take this as a hint that I’m not alone. Of course, many personality types share this trait (even some extroverts), but when combined with other INFP traits, awkwardness can be a surefire clue.
6. We love people almost as much as we love being alone.
One of my best friends is an INFP. She’s one of the sweetest people I know, yet sometimes she doesn’t reply to me for a week at a time. This doesn’t bother me, because sometimes I do the same thing.
As INFPs, we crave connection on an extremely intense level, but shallow interactions (like simple text messages) can be taxing. We aren’t satisfied with small talk, but once we meet someone we click with, we can easily spend all our time with them.
I sometimes can intuit an INFP’s presence when I meet someone who seems closed-off, even unfriendly, but who opens up in a big way once a layer of ice breaks. Maybe we’ll have a super awkward conversation when meeting for the first time, then suddenly one of us will say something very emotional, or unexpectedly revelatory, and then — if the other person takes the bait — the river starts to flow.
Even so, no matter how connected we are to someone, we always have to come back to ourselves and the natural world. We treasure our solitude, partly because we feel no one really understands us except for, well, us — and often we don’t even understand ourselves. Spending time alone and in nature can be immensely healing and re-energizing for INFPs, and we crave a good balance of solitude and meaningful human connection.
7. We’re hungry for meaning and inspiration.
We experience the world intensely, and it doesn’t take much for us to have spiritual, life-changing experiences. On the other hand, if we stick to routines and don’t spend any time stepping out of our comfort zone, we quickly become dissatisfied.
I recognize other INFPs when I come across someone who loves going on adventures, but not of the sort that others typically find interesting. INFPs might love exploring weird parts of the world like abandoned places, and a rundown old mill can be as beautiful as a royal palace to an INFP’s mind. We might enjoy taking road trips and frequenting the kinds of places that are easy to fill with our own creative observations.
There are so few of us INFPs. In a world designed around small talk, hierarchies, and competition, we dreamers have to stick together.

The government lock down the studio because of the virus. What’s everyone going to do in there homes?
Henry: plays board games with the kids, draws, tries some new recipes, does some work from home. Good about social distancing.
Joey: despite being an extrovert, he is good about social distancing because he knows he’s susceptible. Does a bunch of satanic stuff, some of it in hopes of becoming less susceptible, calls a bunch of people because isolation is killing him, tries to do some work from home. Ends up climbing the walls from boredom. Calls up Susie and asks her if a) she’s asymptomatic, and b) she can come over.
Sammy: plays instruments, does some work from home, has Susie over after it’s been a while and he’s getting lonely. Joey tries to get him to pick up some supplies for Satanic stuff, and Sammy indulges him, but only once.
Jack: bakes, gardens, plays music, hangs out with his family.
Wally: walks his dogs. Wants to be good about social distancing but he has way too much goddamn energy for this and as a result cleans his entire apartment top to bottom on day one. Ends up doing a bunch of stupid stuff with Shawn, and Allison tags along.
Susie: writes in her journal while pretending that this is the end times. Reads romance and fantasy novels. Practices her singing. Visits Sammy and Joey once each but otherwise good at social distancing.
Allison: tries some recipes, has Thomas teach her mechanical stuff, reconnects with old hobbies, has some romantic time with Thomas, is climbing the walls pretty quickly. Calls up anyone in the studio (or out of it) who seems fun. Ends up hanging with Shawn and Wally.
Thomas: works on mechanical stuff and teaches Allison how. Has some romantic moments with Allison. Takes long walks, probably smokes and drinks a lot. With little to distract him, his stress is killing him a little.
Norman: reads like half a library, hangs out with his wife and daughter.
Grant: reads novels, does puzzles, calls his older relatives frequently, tries to do some work. If we’re talking the later days in the studio he’d probably drink excessively and sleep too much so he doesn’t have to think about his anxieties.
Shawn: is reckless, high-energy, low in compassion, and definitely not going to do this “social isolation” thing. First, he tempts Wally out of it. Then, he finds a bar that’s still in service and tempts Lacie out of social isolation for a few outings to drink and play pool, darts, and poker. If it’s at the point in the timeline when they’re friends with Grant, they’ll include him for that, too.
Lacie: her wife said tries to teach her some indoor hobbies like drawing and cooking to keep her entertained. They listen to the radio a lot. Lacie is really bored, so she didn’t put up much resistance when Shawn tempted her out.
Bertrum: can do a lot of his work from home and is probably throwing himself into it harder than usual because the virus is making him hyper-aware that he’s old. Entertainment is a problem, though, since he usually goes elsewhere for it. Plus, staying home all the time is forcing him to spend time with his wife, who is only his wife at this point because he’d rather have a roommate than alimony. They’re both torn between isolation and boredom, and their hatred for each other, but do come to tolerate and even enjoy each other’s company after a while.

you’re really fascinated by the complexity of the universe but at the same time really into physics and math so when you found out that astrophysics existed when you were like 12, you knew that was it for you
you barely have time to eat, much less be fashionable, so you wear pretty nothing but jeans, huge hoodies, Converse, and a super hero t-shirt underneath (same but just because i’m too broke to dress nice)
with good brains comes bad everything else and you’re a hot fucking mess
clumsy, notes scattered all over the place, writing astrophysics shit in the margins of all your papers and doodling constellations on them while the professor lectures, it’s bad
you’re actually kind of extroverted and hyper but you just focus all that energy into astrophysics so everyone thinks you’re a hermit
you’re not obsessed with video games and comic books specifically, you’re just obsessed with space
like Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Ender's Game, Prey, Alien, Dead Space, and even Halo, you love em all, cause fuCkinGH spACE MAN same i’m a space gay
you aLwAyS pLaYS THE FUCKIN SPACE OVERTURE ON YOUR PHONE AND WALK IN SLOW MO INTO YOUR APARTMENT AND YOUR ROOMMATE IS LIKE I HAD TO WATCH THAT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES
always writing reminders on yourself but they only help 60% of the time because you’re a hot mess
you can play the harp and the sitar?? the most random ass instruments, you literally have your harp in your bedroom and your sitar in your lab and like they were gifts from one of your cousins and you’re really protective over them
whenever you have a mental block you sit cross-legged and start playing your harp/sitar and chanting OM or the lyrics to We Will Rock You and your roommates are like omg they really are a mad scientist
you don't mind relationships but like no one wants to be with you cause they think you’re kind of fucking insane so you try not to think about it and just blow stuff up in the chem lab
like you’re really excited, you’ll gladly talk to people and you’re really bubbly and happy and friendly but all you talk about is astrophysics??? and you’re not on like level one, no you started reading college level astrophysics books when you were 14, you’re like wayyyy past PhD level so it's like you’re speaking another language
and no one wants to hang out with you like they think it's cute how passionate you are and how fucking just warm and open you are but still no one wants to be around you cause you’re like some sort of mad scientist and they're not interested in what you’re talking about
but you keep a smile on your face and keep to your astrophysics even though you start to think something's wrong with you and start getting kinda sad
aw bby :’(
and tHEN THEY WERE ROOMMATES that's when Jaebum came along
Jaebum is majoring in Ancient Studies and minoring in Greek and he’s Captain of the Football Team
pretty much every male-attracted person likes him but ain't no one going near that boy cause he is T E R R I F Y I N G
wears all black and never says anything and then when you talk to him he just has this resting bitch face on with no expression and everyone's like I’ll I’ljust go now and he just continues reading
he’s always reading with his earbuds in, you bother him it's your funeral
and it's weird cause like he has friends a precious few and ppl know he's not cold with them so why’s he ALWAYS COLD AND APATHETIC TO EVERYONE ELSE LIKE YOU GOOD MATE???
knows he's terrifying and uses it to his advantage
has no problem glaring down people who reach for the same thing at the supermarket or try cutting in front of him at starbuck’s and they near shit themselves
does not give two shits about all the people staring at him all the time as long as they don't talk to him or interrupt his reading
stays at home unless he's at class, practice, or a game
on the Dean’s List, and a massive teacher’s pet
but still, people just like to admire him for his looks and gush about how mysterious he is and that really irks him cause no one wants to actually spend the time to get to know him he’s not even that mysterious, he’s actually a bit of a crackhead so he's like i don't need y'all i have the Gupta Dynasty to keep me company
youngjae and yugyeom rolling their eyes, like HeRe HyUnG GOES AGAIN
knows more about ancient worlds than the current world?? like sometimes mark catches him staring at technology like it's an alien concept and he's like dude you've had a cell phone since you were like 12, when was the last time you had a break from reading that, chill out for a second and come back to modern times
and jb just scoffs like i don't need your modern times and buries his head in the book again but he just wants someone who's able to talk about the present AND the past with him without ignoring one cause he thinks both are really important
anyways one day you were late to an 8am class and you were rushing and dropped some papers and Jaebum came across it and he was like what in ThE HELL IS THIS cause first of all it was almost completely illegible and then when he did manage to read it, he couldn't understand it cause it was real complex math and science shit and he looked at the name and he knew who you were cause you’re the campus genius and the campus crazy
so he hunts you down until he comes across your lab later on in the day and you’re frantically looking through your BILLIONS OF PILES of looseleaf paper and jb's just thinking about how much of a fit jinyoung would have if he saw this tomfoolery
and he handed you your stuff and you were so grateful and friendly and you reminded him of a crazier version of youngjae
he couldn't help but be curious when he saw the really complicated math and science going on on your paper and he was like what's that, how does it work, what's the history
for a full fifteen seconds, you looked at him like he was god incarnate and you like i'M gLaD yOu AsKeD
and you were talking really fast but the way your eyes lit up when you talked about astrophysics and the way the sun from the window illuminated your features jfc
jb didn't believe in love in first sight he swore he didn't
unless it was you
like even if you weren’t conventionally pretty and most people wouldn't even notice you, bummie didn’t care, it was like you were the goddamn sun or something
he stops you in the middle of explaining and he's like look you're going a bit too fast, so could you repeat what you said but just a lil bit . . . slower
and for a long moment, you were stunned jungshook because like this boi . . . this devastatingly handsome boy who blows everyone off and makes them wet their pants in fear wants to hear me rant to him about astrophysics
and he actually wants you to slow it down so he can understand instead of just pretending to listen
and like you may be a genius but JB just broke your brain for a second
but then you jump back into it like yeah sure
and jae honestly finds you fucking adorable like how excited you get about astrophysics and he actually finds himself interested in it and then he starts talking about ancient cultures and greek and you already kinda know everything he's talking about and enjoy the conversation and he's all heart eyes
gets protective over you after like 2 days???
you don't care, you’re just happy there's someone who thinks you’re interesting so you don't even notice him glaring at anyone who talks to you and always hanging around you to scare other guys off
tbh bummie doesn't really comprehend why people don't like being around you cause like??? you’re so fucking pretty and cute?? you took all his uwus reader
only takes like 10 days before JB finds out you’re really affectionate and you’re hugging and cuddling all the time but he actually???likes it
and soon he's the one begging you for cuddles and you’re like ( ^_^) ofc babe lemme just finish doing these calculations right quick and JB's like asdfghjkl did they just call me what i think they just called me
but like you guys are always hanging at your lab and since JB doesn't really talk except with you and his friends and you never talk about anything but astrophysics on the off chance she gets back to the dorm in time enough to talk at all no one knows that you guys are even hanging out
it's not long after that jae asks you out and he takes you to an amusement park and you have a FiElD dAy because sooooooo much math? and pretty colors? and cotton candy? and he's made you the happiest person ever and in that moment when he sees your face he just can't help himself like pls be my s/o and you’re like ASDFGHJKL ARE YOU PLAYING WITH ME RIGHT NOW JFC OFC
and he just drops a bomb on his friends like they're all going out to dinner and he brings you and he's got his arm around your waist and he's just like guys meet my s/o and everyone's choking like S/O We ThOuGhT YoU wErE aRo oR sMtHiNG and for a minute they're so confused because no one even knew jaebum was talking to someone much less the mad scientist person when did this happen
and like they can see all throughout dinner that you’re really fucking strange but it's kind of cute and it makes bummie happy so Welcome to the Family, we have cookies
lol friends? nope, say goodbye to those, everyone is so terrified of bummie and his resting bitch face and them muscles that they refuse to come near you cause you’ve basically got Jaebum stamped on your forehead but that's ok because somehow you became really good friends with his friends and like you have this group chat that jae's not in specifically so they can share embarrassing things for you to tease him about later
but bummie highkey encourages it because if he pretends to get mad, you’ll play your harp for him and he loves that shit
jaebum will knock the living daylights out of anyone who mistreats you or makes you feel bad
like one time yall were walking back after a date and this dude grabbed your ass and was about to open his mouth to say some vulgar shit but he didn’t even get the chance before jaebum LEAPED ON HIM LIKE A FUCKING INSECT AND MOWED HIS ASS D O W N
jae had like two scratches on him meanwhile the dude on the floor probably needed a goddamn ambulance and he just took your hand and continued walking like anyways, like i was saying, no one can give me a valid reason why I shouldn’t get a cat
yall will 10/10 adopt a cat together
well it was supposed to be one but yall were weak bitches, so it turned into 3 same
at first yall rotated the cats between y’all’s apartments but then you were both like let’s just fucking move in together omfg
bam bam constantly breaks into your apartment to play with your cats
you come and cheer jae on at his football games
the first time everyone was SHOOK
for fuck’s sake, you just learned what a touchdown was when you infiltrated a superbowl party for the food sAME, why tf were you even here
but then they saw jae beam at you and they were like omfg, they’re these people
when they win, he runs up and scoops you into his arms and spins you around, pressing a bunch of kisses all over your face and calling ou his good luck charm and you’re screaming at him for hugging you while he’s sweaty and gross even though you’re laughing and kissing him back
when he loses, you and him go to McDonalds after he showers and you just sit at a table eating while he nuzzles his head in your neck and sulks
reader, i highkey advise you to get a couple tats or a body piercing and not tell him
just have your hoodie off one day so he happens to see the tat/piercing and you’ll see his eyes darken and he’s trying to keep calm like
“i didn’t know you had tattoos/piercings”
and he’s looking down at you so intensely he’s almost glaring
“i do, wanna try and find them all?”
you did it
you activated beast mode
whenever jae sees you upset or sad, he’ll just engulf you with his whole body and you can smell his aftershave and feel his warmth while he puts on calming music and tells you greek myths in that smooth, soothing voice
and when you have your head on his chest, half asleep, he’ll just kind of stop for a second because holy fuuck, you’re so gorgeous and you’re his? how did he land you?? he’s the luckiest guy in the world?
and when you look up, wondering why he stopped talking, you see him looking at you with just this really soft, mushy look of complete adoration and before you can even say anything, he’s like i fucking love you
I WAS GONNA WRITE MORE, BUT I GOTTA END IT NOW, I’M FUCKING SOFT HNNNGGH

Breaking Down The Social Hierarchy
Α
Alpha male
He is the leader, the dominant one, The Bad Boy. This guy is a manly man, confident and extroverted. He is the one who enforces the social rules yet breaks them at the same time.
He grew up an active child and was always the leader of his friends. In high school, he was the prom king and captain of the football team, but also the school bully. Two years after his graduation, he became the president of his fraternity house. And finally, he is the higher up boss in the workplace.
He speaks his mind and isn’t afraid to talk down to a woman. Women of all types gravitate to him.
An alpha male most likely has the MBTI type of an ENTJ, ESTJ, or ESTP.
Their spirit animal is a lion, the king of the animal kingdom.
Strengths: athletic, intelligent, direct, assertive, realistic, mature, hardworking, excellent communication skills
Weaknesses: domineering, rude, insubordinate
How he views himself: I have goals I need to achieve. Everything else is a waste of time.
How others view him: That guy is at the top of everything.
Examples: George Washington, Alexander the Great
Alpha female
She is the Bad Girl, the baddest bitch in the room. The alpha female is very feminine, as in fact, she is the most ladylike and knows her manners. She is outgoing, elegant, and decisive.
The Alpha female may be a bitch or big hoe but she definitely has class. She uses drugs, drinks, and has sex moderately.
She grew up as a tomboy during her childhood, then became a girly girl. In high school, she is the prom queen, head cheerleader, the most popular girl in school. Like her male counterpart, she becomes president of her sorority house in college and higher up boss in the workplace.
She thinks before she speaks, is a good listener, and interrupts only when necessary. Men don’t intimidate her and she is completely comfortable being around them. The Beta male is her perfect match as he complements her personality.
An alpha female most likely has the MBTI type of an ENFJ or ESFP.
Her spirit animal is, of course, the queen bee.
Strengths: graceful, intelligent, mature, socially adept, assertive, realistic, hardworking, excellent communication skills
Weaknesses: bossy, high-maintenance
How she views herself: I’m not going to waste time because I need to pursue my dreams.
How others view her: She always gets her way.
Examples: Queen Elizabeth II, Oprah Winfrey, Claire (The Breakfast Club), Regina George (Mean Girls), Tomoyo Sakagami (CLANNAD)
β
Beta male
The Beta male is the opposite of the alpha male in every way. He is submissive, a Nice Guy, a natural born follower.
He is a shy, introverted guy who is boyish in both appearance and personality.
This is the guy who blindly follows the rules and never questions them.
Unlike the Alpha, he is rather unathletic and less intelligent.
The Beta was the teacher’s pet in high school, the wannabe, the loser, a nerd and dork. He is the high school bully’s main target. This definitely carries in the workplace as they’ll always be working for and under the Alphas.
Beta males like alpha females but they usually get friendzoned. If the Alpha female doesn’t reciprocate his feelings, he ends up with his female counterpart, the Beta female.
A Beta male most likely has the MBTI type of an INFP.
His spirit animal is a dog because of his loyalty and obedient nature.
Strengths: introspective, agreeable, hardworking
Weaknesses: poor communication skills, weak-willed, lack of confidence, ill-at-ease, immature, passive aggressive, talks more than listen
How he views himself: What if they don’t like me?
How others view him: That guy is such a beta! He couldn’t even ask a girl out.
Examples: Justin Timberlake
Beta female
Like her male counterpart, she is the Good Girl. Beta females are the stereotypical girly girls. They are shy and introverted like their male counterparts.
She has always been the Alpha female’s best friend, right-wing woman since childhood.
She doesn’t have the problems her male counterpart does when in comes to dating. She’s 2nd in place to the Alpha female in getting guys. Being naturally submissive, she needs a strong man so the Alpha male would be her perfect match.
A Beta female most likely has the MBTI type of an INFP or ESFJ.
Strengths: bubbly, idealistic, innocent, hardworking
Weaknesses: naive, hyper, lack of confidence, passive aggressive
How she views herself: I’m not that pretty.
How others view her: She’s sweet but I would rather hang with an alpha female because they’re always chill and at ease.
Examples: Princess Diana, Bridget Jones (Bridget Jones Diary), Gretchen and Karen (Mean Girls), Orihime Inoue (Bleach), Nagisa Furukawa (CLANNAD)
Γ
Gamma male
He has the traits of both the Alpha male and the Beta male. The Gamma male is neither a leader nor follower. He is ambiverted, fun-loving, relaxed, and easy to talk to.
In high school, he is a Class Clown or a “freak”.
Gamma males are as successful in getting girls. He would be a perfect match for the Delta female.
A Gamma male most likely has the MBTI type of an ENTP or ISTP.
In high school, she is a Thespian or a “freak”.
Strengths: friendly, approachable, witty, clever, inventive, individualistic, hardworking, good communication skills
Weaknesses: inconsiderate, rash, aggressive
Examples: Martin Luther King Jr, Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)
Gamma female
She is psychologically dominant, but socially rejected.
In high school, she was a Thespian or a “freak”. She’ll most likely work freelance
She would be a perfect match for the Delta male.
A Gamma female most likely has the MBTI type of an ENFP, INFJ, or ISFP.
Her spirit animal is a bird as she is free spirited.
Strengths: original, artistic, creative, outgoing, hardworking
Weaknesses: too loud, aggressive
Examples: Rosa Parks, Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games), Cady (Mean Girls)
δ
Delta=Normal
Psychologically submissive, socially acceptable
Deltas are average people who don’t lead nor follow.
In high school, they’re the team players on their sports teams
A person with a Delta personality has the MBTI type of an ESFJ, ISTJ or ISFJ.
A Delta will most likely end up with a Gamma or another Delta.
Strengths: stable, sensible, down-to-earth
Weaknesses: mediocre
How Deltas view themselves: I wonder what it’s like to not be normal?
What other people think about them: A normal guy/girl would also make a good boyfriend/girlfriend.
Lambda
LGBT community
Lambda males are openly gay men while Lambda females are tomboys. Non-binary individuals are lambdas as well.
Strengths: open minded
Weaknesses: too liberal
Examples: Aja, Kaitlyn Alexander, Batwoman, Poison Ivy, Willow (Buffy), Santana and Brittany (Glee), Damian (Mean Girls)
Omega
Omega=Invisible
psychologically submissive, socially rejected
Omegas are the people who stay in the background. They are inactive, taciturn, and timid people. Their presence is weak which makes them unnoticeable. They get scared easily and thus avoid these situations at all costs.
They’re the new freshmen in high school, the outcast
Omegas are the people least likely to be hired because of timidity, laziness, and lack of participation. But when they do get hired, they’re at the bottom of the ladder.
A person with an Omega personality has the MBTI type of an ISFJ, ISFP, INTP, or INFP.
They’re lucky if they even get asked out.
Strengths: low-key, careful, humble, modest, sensible, unpretentious, hardworking
Weaknesses: timid, taciturn, lethargic, unreliable
How Omegas view themselves: I’m too scared to do anything.
What other people think about them: I forgot that guy/girl exists. He/she doesn’t talk much.
Σ
Sigma=Lone Wolf
rebel
Sigmas are similar to Gammas except they are antisocial yet somehow beat the Alpha in the social game.
The high school stereotype of a Sigma is an emo, goth
Sigmas are con artists
The person with a Sigma personality has the MBTI type of an ENTJ, ENTP, INTJ, ISTP, or INTP.
Sigmas are usually attracted to only other Sigmas.
Their spirit animal is a wolf, obviously.
Strengths: same as Alpha
Weaknesses: careless, hostile
How Sigmas view themselves: Fuck the hierachy! I’m going to say that to the Alphas and see what happens because I don’t give a shit.
What other people think about them: Damn, the loner just owned that Alpha!
Examples: Janis (Mean Girls)
θ
Theta male
Theta female
Zeta
Zetas are unattractive people who completely lack social skills.
They’re the creeps, stalkers, and weirdos
Their friends are imaginary since even animals hate them.
They never get laid
Strengths: original, creative
Weaknesses: socially inept, mentally unstable
How Zetas view themselves: I’m Alpha and everyone is jealous of my status.
What other people think about them: Ew! No one likes that guy/girl.
Examples: Tyler Downing (13 Reasons Why), Michael and Dwight from The Office, Napoleon Dynamite
As much as hierarchies suck, they unfortunately still exist. You’re extroverted and confident, you’re an Alpha. You’re shy and introverted, you’re a Beta. You’re ambiverted, you’re a Gamma. You’re like most people, you’re a Delta. You’re quiet and timid, you’re an Omega. You’re antisocial, you’re a Sigma. You’re socially inept, you’re a Zeta. Of course we shouldn’t label ourselves as we’re dynamic and not limited to what we genetically are because nobody’s perfect.

How would you describe yourself in a small group setting? Easy to get along with? Tough as nails? Bitchy? Quiet? Hyper talkative? Etc? Do you like working in small groups? Productive? Restless? Etc. It’s a weird ask, I know.
Uuuuuuuhhhh....okaaaaay? Lol this is kind of a weird ask, Anon. The sort that makes me wonder if I should maybe change the locks on my door...all my passwords.... I tease.
It really depends on how well I know the people in the group and the goal of said group, but I can usually find a way to at least work well enough with people to get the job done if work is involved. If we’re talking social...that’s another issue, lol. If we’re talking social groups, it becomes very much an “Is the juice worth the squeeze” question. If it is, I’ll engage. If not...I’ll endure it until I can go home and read a book, take a nap, generally be a grouchy, unsociable introvert.
I am, however, one of those occasionally extroverted introverts, and I think that is a big factor on how I behave in a group. If I don’t know the people very well, I start in observer mode and sort of sit on the sidelines and speak only when it is absolutely necessary. I’ve heard people call me cold, a snob, or unhelpful, but I’m not disengaged when I'm observing, not at all. I’m listening, getting a feel for the individual members and the group as a whole.
That’s because I usually function as...almost an enabler? in group settings. Or maybe a chameleon. I try to be whatever the group needs me to be. Like if someone has an idea that’s good, I’ll go into “Okay how can we make that happen” mode and start problem solving, working out the details. Does that make sense? I tend not to really contribute many original ideas to group work but by god I will make someone else’s ideas shine like fucking Paris at night on Bastille Day, find a way to synchronize it better than the Bellagio fountains. If someone starts struggling, I’m usually the one to try to pick up the slack and figure out what’s happened with them. It’s a thankless function and comes with very little credit, but hey. Someone’s got to do it.
If I know the group members well and am already comfortable with them...yeah that’s a little different. Then I tend to be a little loud and talkative. The goal then becomes getting others to laugh and to set them at ease, telling stories, building off of theirs. I still do the whole enabling thing, just with more...loudness and snark.
You all get kind of a taste of that with some of my interactions here because most of you don’t know enough of me to find me away from the internet. Like I may very well have interacted in person with a few of you and you’d never know it. It’s a weird situation, lol, but basically the comfort of that distance and the screens between us allows me to be a little more open and more like my “extroverted side” here on tumblr and even in fanfic comment sections.
I hope that those of you who have come to me with ideas or problems both story related and personal feel like I am that enabler here as well. I’d like to think that I have very much a *drops everything* “You have my attention. Proceed...” attitude when someone approaches me. I hope that I actually managed to help you. A few people have come back, others have not, so I guess mixed results on that front, lol.
I’ve had people with whom I have interacted in groups say they “improved me” or “brought [me] out of [my] shell” so to speak and that pisses me right the freak off. It’s got nothing to do with what these people did to me and everything to do with my finally granting them my trust, because that side of me existed long before they saw it. You don’t get to see that laughing, slightly bonkers Tracy in the flesh unless you’ve earned my trust, because (and here’s the introvert thing showing up)...it takes a ton of energy for me to be that person. I will physically and mentally crash afterwards, every time, even if it’s with people I love.
The ironic thing is that as soon as someone tries to claim my personality like that...I shut down. Trust revoked. I’ve had one too many “friendships” try to claim me that way and eventually turn into something toxic, when really I am just too tired to be that person all the time and they wonder what’s wrong with me. If you can’t love both sides, you don’t love me. Does that make me bitchy? Maybe, but I don’t think so.
Do I enjoy working in groups? This is gonna sound really bad, but only if the groups manages to find a sort of rhythm, harmony, synchronicity? I hate being in groups where it’s all negative and drama and not getting shit done. I’d rather quit than deal with that. But since I also hate quitting unless absolutely necessary, I’ll usually suffer through until it’s done and I don’t have to deal with it anymore. If the group is clicking well, it’s awesome and I love it. I think that’s true for most people, lol. Bottom line though is I tend not to seek out groups, but if I am in one, I try to make the best of it, if that makes sense.
Does that answer your question, Anon?
#random ask is random#ugh group work#third in line behind telephones and public speaking#on my list of things i must give myself#serious pep talks to engage in#Anonymous#look at that ask

A Christmas Gift- ML Secret Santa 2018
Summary: Yeah, Julerose is canon. Everyone kind of saw that coming a mile away so it’s no surprise that as Christmas time rolls around, Rose is more than hyper-aware of what her girlfriend is doing. Which is acting weird. Despite trusting Juleka to her deepest level, Rose can’t help but feel a bit uneasy.
Merry Christmas @sorcerymuses! I’m your Secret Santa for the @mlsecretsanta! I’m sorry this is a bit late; life got a bit hectic for me but I’m glad I made it before Christmas! I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season.
There was exactly one month, three days, four hours, fifty two minutes, and twenty-one seconds until Christmas Day.
Rose was already excited. Despite the long time that seemed to stretch between the current moment in time to the special day, the young French girl couldn’t help but smile at the mere idea of the holiday arriving. A warm feeling spread through her chest. This time of year always made her feel special and happy. She could feel the brisk winter weather beginning to move in and her eyes sparkled at the thought. She licked her lips in happy anticipation of the coming hot chocolate smothered in whipped cream and mini-marshmallows.
Oh how fun!
She hummed to herself as she entered the school. A few people gave her a greeting, which she returned, before she stopped at her locker to remove her light winter gear. There was a happy, anticipatory hum in the air. She wasn’t the only one excited.
Mylène and Ivan appeared just as she was shutting her locker door. Rose greeted the two of them then waited. Together, the three of them walked to class, chatting excitedly about any plans for the holidays, at which point, Rose recommended that the two of them visit the new winter display occurring at the Louvre. Mylène thanked her for the idea and Ivan smiled softly, nodding in agreement.
“Juleka and I are planning to go tonight,” she chirped. “It’ll be out until after Christmas.”
“My dad’s performing tonight but we’ll definitely make plans to go soon. It sounds exciting,” Mylène said.
Rose nodded as they entered the classroom. A small handful of people were already there but her eyes travelled up the rows to one person in particular. Juleka was sitting in their shared desk, head down, as she quickly scribbled something in a notebook in front of her. Rose smiled at the look of concentration on her face; she said good bye to Mylène and Ivan and, returning to her humming, went up the slight rise to join her.
Before she could go too far, Marinette stopped her with a smile and a wave, “Good morning Rose! You seem really chipper today.”
The girl next to Marinette leaned closer with a smirk. “That’s because we’re entering Christmas season,” Alya stated, “One of Rose’s favorite times of year.”
“Only after Valentine’s Day,” Rose said. The three of them giggled.
“No one would dare say otherwise,” Alya said, her grin remaining. Rose beamed. Several more of their classmates, Max, Kim, Nathaniel, Sabrina, and Chloe, entered followed a few minutes later by Nino and Adrien which prompted her to say good bye to the two girls and continue her way up the stairs. She made sure to say good morning to Alix who had been in the room. They spoke for a few seconds about the Louvre display that her father and brother had helped to build before Rose finally, finally, reached her seat. Juleka was so into whatever she was working on that she didn’t even notice. Rose looked her over.
It was amazing how different the two were. The dark-haired girl was her polar opposite in many ways. Rose was softness; Juleka, strength. Pink and purple. Extreme girly-ness and unashamed punk. Tall and short. Introverted and extroverted.
That didn’t mean that the two of them weren’t similar. Both were sweet. Both were loyal. Both, especially in the last few years since Hawkmoth’s arrival, had learned to be brave.
Rose thought back to the last year and how long it had taken for the two of them to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Oh, there’d been one reason after another. Rose especially had been under the impression she was straight since she had had a crush on a prince and Juleka, before her akumatization, had been far more reserved. However, once they had acknowledged themselves and their feelings, their romance had blossomed. It came in like a gentle rain more than a lightning strike. This suited Rose just fine. After all, she was a hopeless romantic.
She sat her bag down, “Good morning Jules.”
Juleka jerked. She floundered for a second as she attempted to hide the journal in front of her, leaning over it with her arms crossed, before she blinked up in clear surprise at Rose. There was a light blush on her cheeks. “G-good morning!” Rose leaned her head to the side.
“Is everything alright? You look a bit… flustered.” She reached out a hand to stroke her cheek. This only deepened Juleka’s blush.
“I’m alright. Promise.”
Rose smiled. She slowly dropped her hand before turning to unpack her bag. “Are we still good after school to visit the Louvre?”
Juleka straightened herself, sliding the notebook out of sight and into the bag on her right, away from Rose. She nodded. Rose’s smiled widened and she let out a little squee of excitement. Madame Bustier entered then. She finished organizing her materials, ready to begin the day.
Rose sighed happily as she squeezed Juleka’s hand as they exited the Louvre. A gentle breeze brushed over them. Despite having a light jacket on, Juleka still shivered and Rose quickly removed her jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders. They smiled to each other. Rose retook Juleka’s hand as they started walking.
“I had a lot of fun! That exhibit was quite stunning especially with that fake snow…,” Rose said. She went on for a few more minutes before she realized that Juleka wasn’t really responding. A quick side-eye showed her she was nodding her head every now and then.
“…You’re going to give me all the candy in the world.” A nod.
“You think I’m a dork.” Another nod.
“Marinette is Ladybug.” Nod.
“I’m the Queen of France.” Nod.
Rose placed her free hand over her mouth. Juleka continued to nod every now and then but she was so lost in thought, she hadn’t even realized that she had stopped talking. A devious, mischievous feeling welled up in Rose’s chest and her eyes flashed with a plan. She slowed them. Juleka didn’t notice when they stopped walking. Nor did she notice when Rose moved just a smidge closer… stood on tip-toes… and blew on her neck.
Juleka screamed and scrambled backwards. A hand flew up to the spot Rose had blown on but she didn’t pay attention to her feet; she tripped over them and landed with a solid –thud- on the ground. Juleka hissed, rubbing her back. Rose gasped. She had definitely not expected that reaction. After all, Juleka was known to have nerves of steel as she had demonstrated the one time Mylène had been akumatized. She stepped forward and offered her a hand.
Rose ducked her head, “I’m sorry Jules. I didn’t mean to scare you like that.”
There was a moment of confusion that flashed on Juleka’s face. Rose held her breath. Was she mad? Juleka let out a sigh-laugh and she took her hand, allowing her smaller girlfriend a chance to help her up. Once on her feet, she patted her clothes to get the dust off. Juleka smiled at her.
“That was… pretty awesome. Haven’t had a scare like that in a while.” Rose looked up at her from under her eyelashes.
“You’re not mad at me?”
“Nope.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
Rose raised her head a bit but looked Juleka up and down. She was standing relaxed which helped to lower Rose’s anxiety at her being actually mad and lying about it. However… there was an uneasy knot forming in her chest. She reached out, catching both of Juleka’s hands and pulling them down between the two of them. They stood there for a moment. Another breeze brushed across them. The lamps around them flickered on as the sun began to set, casting them in a lovely orange glow. Rose rubbed her thumbs over the backs of Juleka’s hands. She bit her lip.
“Jules? Is everything alright? You’ve been… off today.”
Juleka blinked again. She smiled softly before pulling Rose into an embrace. She stroked her hair before saying, “I promise. I’m alright Rosebud.”
“You sure,” Rose asked, leaning back a bit.
Juleka placed a gentle peck on her forehead. Rose wrinkled her nose in response. The taller girl smiled, “Promise.”
There was exactly one week, two hours, twenty-six minutes, and forty-eight seconds until Christmas.
Marinette paused as she entered the bathroom. All was quiet except for some soft sniffles coming from inside one of the stalls. Tikki appeared from her bag. The two shared a quick glance before Marinette looked for the door where the sound came from. She leaned her head to the door. Another sniff. Marinette straightened and knocked softly, “Hello? Is everything okay?”
The door squeaked a bit as it opened. Marinette’s jaw dropped. Rose’s face was a bit puffy and swollen; her eyes were deeply rimmed in red and she attempted to wipe her eyes. “Rose! Are you okay?”
She sniffed, “I… I….”
“Don’t you dare say fine,” Marinette cooed. She reached forward and pulled her into a tight embrace. Rose sniffed again.
“I… I’m so scared, “she admitted. “Juleka…. Juleka…..”
Marinette rubbed her back, “Shhhh. Let’s head somewhere more comfortable okay? I’ll listen to all your worries.”
Rose wiped her eyes. “You don’t have to….”
“You’re my friend,” Marinette cut her off. “I hate to see you so upset. Let me help, okay?
Rose hesitated but eventually nodded. She wiped her eyes again and allowed Marinette to wrap her arms around her shoulders, gently leading her from the bathroom. Class was in session, thankfully, so there was no one there to question why Rose looked like she’d been crying for the last few minutes. Marinette led them to the library. The librarian gave them a dirty look and started to say something but Marinette, being a strong class president, quickly explained that her friend was in need of some emotional help and they needed a quiet place to speak. The older woman looked Rose up and down. Her frown softened. She granted them permission to stay as she went back to placing books on the shelf. Rose smiled at Marinette in relief. They found a secluded corner with one of the many tables. Marinette stared at Rose while she twiddled her thumbs on the tabletop; finally, she took a sigh.
“Juleka has been distant recently,” she said softly. “I mean… I always knew she was quiet but this… this is going to a new level.”
“Start at the beginning,” Marinette encouraged. Rose nodded.
“It started about a month ago. We went to the Louvre exhibit, you know, the interactive winter one? She was… distant that day. I was actually able to scare her.”
Marinette blinked. “You managed to scare Juleka?”
Rose chuckled a bit, “I know right? Anyway, it started that day. Ever since then, she’s been… I don’t want to say ignoring me but she’s definitely not paying a lot of attention. She keeps hiding a notebook from me.” She paused, swallowing hard. “We don’t go on dates like we used to. When the bell rings, she runs out of the classroom without so much as a good bye to me.”
Marinette bit her lip. She had to admit, she’d seen that behavior; Juleka had always made it a point to walk out with Rose since the two of them started dating and now…. Well, she was pretty much the first one out of the room. Alone.
“I don’t even know where she’s going.” Rose sniffed. Tears stung at the corners of her eyes again and Marinette quickly handed her a handkerchief. Rose took it gratefully, wiping at her eyes. “She’s not talking to me. I can’t even tell you how many text messages I’ve sent that have gotten no response.” She swallowed again. “Do you… Do you think that she hates me? Is she mad about that joke? I didn’t mean to scare her that badly. I promise.”
“Rose, Rose,” Marinette soothed. She reached out to gently touch the girl’s hands. Rose had to blink. “Rose, we both know that Juleka isn’t like that. She wouldn’t hold a grudge over a little prank like that.” She paused. “You two do need to talk though. How about I help set that up?”
“You… you will?”
Marinette nodded. “Of course we will. I’m pretty sure anyone in our class would be willing to help. Except for, you know, Sabrina and Chloe.” Rose smiled.
“Thank you Marinette. You really are the greatest class president ever.” Marinette smiled.
“Are you calm enough to go back to class?” Rose nodded, standing. The two of them left with a soft thank you to the librarian who wished Rose a quick recovery in happiness as the two of them headed back.
The wheels were already turning in Marinette’s head before they were even out the door.
The bell rang. Everyone started to pack their bags but Juleka was already set to go. She picked it up, scooched behind Rose, and started quickly down the stairs. A hand lashed out and grabbed her wrist and she stopped in surprise more than anything. Marinette smiled up at her brightly. Juleka blinked.
“Uh… Hi Marinette.” She looked at her wrist. “Is everything okay?” Marinette released her.
“Sorry about that,” she chirped. “I wanted to ask you for some help before you ran out today.” Juleka shifted a bit, glancing around as the rest of the class filtered out of the room. She sighed.
“Sure. What can I help you with?” Marinette beamed.
“I’ve been noticing some strange behavior in the class lately….”
Juleka’s eyes narrowed, “O-okay….”
“And I wanted to get a couple of people’s feedback on what we should do about it.”
Now, her mouth went dry, “Like… an intervention?” Marinette nodded.
“Exactly! An intervention.” She turned to shuffle in her bag. A light swear came from Marinette and she quickly turned back to Juleka. “Oops. I accidentally left the notebook with my notes in my locker. Would you mind waiting here while I go get it?”
Juleka opened her mouth, “Marinette, wait…!” It was too late. Marinette ducked around her and was out the door before she could stop her. This left Juleka in the room. She dropped the hand she had raised to stop her and sighed.
Someone cleared their throat.
She spun. Standing behind her was Rose. Her face was a bit red and swollen, her eyes casted to the ground. Juleka swallowed hard.
“Rose….”
“Juleka….”
They both stopped. Both looked away and down to the ground. Juleka clenched her fists. She turned back but the words she had to say stopped in her throat.
Rose was crying.
She sniffed, her lip trembling as she worked up the nerve to say, “Juleka, tell me what’s going on.”
Juleka’s jaw dropped, “Nothing’s going….”
“Don’t tell me that,” Rose shouted. Juleka stopped but she didn’t, “You’ve been so distant with me lately. I’ve tried to talk to you before but all you’ve done is leave me out in the cold. It’s been a month Jules. A month. We haven’t been a date, you haven’t responded to half of my text messages, and, worst of all, you completely ignore me during the school day.” Now it was Rose who clenched her fist. “Just, please, tell me what’s going on.”
Juleka seemed to shrink a bit. “I can’t,” she replied weakly. Rose’s eyes went wide. It took a second for the words to hit her but, when they did, they hit hard. The tears didn’t stop as Rose’s jaw tightened. She walked past Juleka who raised her hand to stop her; Rose slapped it away.
“Don’t touch me,” she snapped. Juleka felt numb. Rose didn’t bother to look back as she headed to the door and, without another word, left her alone.
How many days was it until Christmas? She didn’t know any more. Really, she didn’t care anymore.
Rose curled into her pillow, hugging it tight to her as the tears fell again. Her parents had been kind and understanding, trying to do their best to soothe their heartbroken daughter as best as they could, but eventually gave her the space she needed by leaving a fresh plate of cookies and warm tea on her desk.
The tea was probably cold by now.
Juleka rang the doorbell. A shorter man answered; he had blonde hair like Rose and wide blue eyes covered with glasses. She swallowed. “Good evening Mr. Lavillant. Is Rose home?”
Mr. Lavillant eyed her, his brow furrowing, “She’s not right now Juleka. Why don’t you try coming back tomorrow?” Juleka wanted to ask to wait until she got there but he shut the door quickly and she was left on the landing. She stared at the door sadly before turning to leave. Mr. Lavillant, who had seen this through the peep-hole, turned to face his daughter who had her feet pulled up underneath her on the couch. “She’s gone ma petite.”
Rose sniffed, “Thank you Papa.”
He moved around the couch, hugging her shoulders. “Are you sure this is alright? She really wants to talk to you.”
Rose nodded. “I… I can’t see her right now.” He placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head.
“Do not let you or her keep hurting,” he soothed. Rose didn’t look at him as he left.
Juleka had never felt so cold in her life. She couldn’t stop the tears either; this probably had to have been the hardest she had cried in a really long time. Since Chloe’s photo-day prank last year at least. She sniffed. Reaching into the front pocket of her winter jacket, she pulled out her phone and stared at the notifications. No new text messages. God, she’d never felt so stupid before in her life. Her emotions shifted and she angrily stuffed it back into the pocket, shuffling her way along the sidewalk. Snow was falling softly as night rose around her. Juleka sniffed again. Why was this so hard?
A soft noise drew her attention. Juleka raised her head, eyes widening as she landed on a familiar figure. Ladybug was a hero. Everyone in Paris knew that; after everything she’d done, it wasn’t really a surprise. It was surprising to see her unhooking her yo-yo from a nearby lamp and placing it back on its signature spot at her hip before she smiled directly to her.
“Good evening,” she said, “Juleka right?” She nodded mutely. Ladybug’s smile didn’t waver. “I happened to be on patrol tonight and couldn’t help but see that you look a little down. Is everything alright?” Juleka sniffed. She was tempted to say it was but she didn’t, instead turned her head away. What excuse could she give? She couldn’t really hold someone as important as Ladybug up since she probably had a whole host of different things she could be doing. A red hand gripped her shoulder and Juleka looked back, surprised yet again to find Ladybug closer, genuinely smiling at her. “Don’t worry about anything else. My job is to help all citizens of Paris.” She squeezed. “I’ve got time and I’m told I’m a pretty good listener.”
Juleka squeezed her hands together. The package that she’d been holding caused her exposed knuckles to turn white. Ladybug leaned her head to the side, “A gift?”
“For…” Juleka answered, “For my girlfriend.” The tears came back. “I messed up Ladybug. I was so focused on getting this gift done that I lost track of what was important.” The hero’s expression softened.
“Have you told your girlfriend this?” Juleka shook her head.
“I keep trying. She won’t meet with me.” She dropped her hands. “It’s been a week. I… I finished this the same day we fought just so I could make it up to her but she’s been avoiding me.” Ladybug hummed.
“Would you like my help?”
“Wh-what?”
Ladybug reached down and pulled off her yo-yo again. She flung it; the great thing about having a magical weapon was that she didn’t have to worry about it not snagging around whatever it was she needed it to snag or even breaking. It wrapped around the nearest building top. She gave it a test tug anyway, to kill time. “I already said: my job is to help all citizens of Paris. You made a mistake and you admit to it; I know that your apology is going to be heartfelt.” She turned back, holding out her hand, giving her one last chance to make her choice. “Let’s go make sure your girlfriend hears it.”
Juleka sniffed and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand. Without a second thought, she reached out and let Ladybug get a tight grip on her before they were flying over the Paris skyline.
A gentle knock on her balcony doors stirred Rose from her sleep. She sat up, bleary eyed, and rubbed her eyes until her vision corrected. She had to blink a few times. This wasn’t….
Standing on her balcony was Juleka.
Rose scrambled off of her bed, flinging the doors open, “Juleka! What are you…? How did you…?”
“I need to talk to you,” she cut in. Rose’s mouth clapped shut. This was… new. Juleka had always been the more reserved of the two of them but now, she was direct and forward. “I know you’re mad at me so I won’t ask to come in but I need to talk to you.” She took a deep breath. “I am so sorry Rose. I never meant to make you feel like I didn’t care or want to be with you. I did. I do. I want to be with you for a long time.” She paused. While Ladybug had been carrying her, she had been sure to tuck her gift in her pocket for protection, and now, she pulled it out. “This,” she continued, “This is the whole reason.”
Rose eyed the little box. Hesitantly, she reached out to take it, her eyes starting to get a bit of its sparkle back as she pulled the top open. It was a jewelry box. Inside was a long gold chain with a crudely made heart-shaped locket on the end. The initials of “J and R” were etched into the front. She pulled it out, examining it in the low light of her room. This was….
“I made it,” Juleka said softly. “Alix and Nathaniel helped. They helped me learn how to work with metal so I could customize it.” She bit her lip. “I wanted to give you something special. I wanted it to be unique.” Pause. “I… I was so focused that I neglected you and you didn’t deserve that, no matter what my reason was so I… understand if you just want me to leave.” She ducked her head before looking back up to the Paris skyline. “Ladybug said she would be willing to take me home so… I’ll go.”
“Juleka, stop.” Juleka blinked and looked down. Rose was smiling softly. She reached up, placing the locket around her neck before she reached out to take her hands. “We… should talk more. There’s a whole month to make up for after all.”
Juleka’s shoulders slumped and she smiled in relief.
Rose led the way back into the apartment, opening her bedroom door to let her parents know that Juleka was visiting and to have them come and look at the wonderful gift she was given.
Ladybug, meanwhile, couldn’t help the grin on her face. She straightened before swinging off into the Christmas Eve night.
Happy Holidays! ^^

I’m not sure if I’m an INTP or an ENTP... I relate to both sides of the coin, and they have all the same functions... I’m at least sure I’m an XNTP because all my other categories were 70-30% ish. I fit into the trollish and teasing behavior of an ENTP, but the INTP description was also really accurate... any thoughts?”
Oh boy, have you chosen the worst possible person to ask :DOkay, I’m gonna start with this great excerpt from a Quora thread on the topic:
“INTPs have a worldview that’s structured around Introverted Thinking, or Ti, and that leads them to be in-depth investigators. Whatever intrigues us, we want to learn EVERYTHING about it…we’ll dig into the entire forest related to a topic to understand one tree at the deepest level we possibly can. We’re writing and reading Wikipedia pages, both literally and figuratively, and we’re building our own mental Wikipedia on things we care about.
INTP’s primary support function is Extroverted Intuition (Ne), which helps us to look at the world and see patterns, and come up with new ideas of how things are connected. Ne as a support helps our Ti to confirm its theories in the real world by comparing the data it picks up to the encyclopedia’s predictions. It also helps Ti find new things worth investigating, and makes connections between the topics in the vast encyclopedia of knowledge Ti spends its time writing.
But, an INTP lives inside first, working on that encyclopedia with Ti. They go out with their Ne to find supporting info, or to get new ideas for encyclopedia pages.
ENTPs, on the other hand, have Ne in charge, and Ti supporting. Their Ne-centric world is full of possibilities, and they’re excited to talk about them. They live in the world, creating new ideas, seeing fresh possibilities that others might miss. And they’re far more vocal than INTPs are because of that.
With Ti in a support position, however, it becomes an adviser to Ne. Picture Ti support as a resourceful librarian, hearing Ne’s idea and pulling out internal reference books to check out how feasible the idea is. A calmer side, perhaps, that’s less caught up in the idea itself, and can screen it to see if it’s truly a valid, useful idea.
Ti the librarian, to me, is probably not going to be as in-depth as the INTP’s encyclopedia writer, however, because it doesn’t have time to be. Ideas are flowing a mile a minute in an ENTP’s mind, and the Ti support guy doesn’t get paid enough to dig into them as far as he might otherwise. Besides, Ne moves on so quickly to the next big idea that Ti’s efforts would be wasted digging further.
ENTPs run on Ne, so they look like Ne. Things that are said in conversations spark random connections, and sometimes, it might even happen from things they say and send the whole conversation on a sudden tangent mid-sentence. When they don’t let Ti screen the ideas before speaking them, they can just sound like Crazy Idea Man who doesn’t sync with reality.
INTPs work things in the opposite direction, with Ti getting the final say, so they won’t have the same effect of seeming like they’re thinking as they go. They don’t consider the thought to be worth expressing until Ti’s had a chance to look into it, and that doesn’t generally happen on the fly — Ti’s too thorough to let the words out that casually.”
INTPs and ENTPs, while similar, can be strikingly different. Both types go through “phases”, during which they are hyper-fixated on a certain topic, and want to learn everything about it. However, INTPs tend to go much deeper into their research, and, because of that, and their higher Si, their obsession tends to last more. ENTPs, however, with their inferior Si, and dominant Ne (which craves change and opportunities 24/7), can’t be boxed within one idea for long periods of time, and their phases usually last up to a week, while their Introverted cousins usually devote a month/month and a half to their newfound interest. I have also found INTPs returning more often to old obsessions than ENTPs (possibly because of their higher Si).
Other differences:
Due to their dominant Ne, ENTPs show their goofy, trolling and positive side to everyone they meet, and their cynical and rational side shines only when in the presence of people they know well. Likewise, INTPs show their cynical, intelligent and rational side to acquaintances, while their quirks surface amongst friends.
ENTPs usually come across as charming, and they can pick up signs of how people around them are feeling. They see the world as a game, and like to tease, manipulate, or find out ways to make people do as they want. INTPs, due to their inferior Fe, are completely oblivious to feelings, and are content approaching social situations only in theory. “I could manipulate this person, but why should I?” “I could put laxatives in this person’s drink, but why would I?”. INTPs’ Ti acts as a filter against pointless, but fun decisions. ENTPs’ Ti doesn’t have that much power.
ENTPs are much more rebellious against anything that can take away their freedom, while INTPs see the value in conventional order and traditional forms of structure, and are a bit more patient with it.
ENTPs, due to their inferior Si, are much more impulsive, and tend to “leap before they look”. INTPs, however, are more in touch with their Si, leading them to be more cautious, which can grow into complete paranoia during the time they develop it (late teens - early adulthood)
INTPs, due to their inferior Fe, can be extremely self-conscious about everything. This can range from self-hate to meticulously inspecting anything they say or do, in a fear of not accidentally offending anybody, or saying something embarrassing. ENTPs also have this problem, albeit to a much lesser degree.
Both types are prone to ignoring the outside world and get completely engrossed in a project or an idea, but, because of their status as Introverts, INTPs are more likely to do so for longer.
ENTPs tend to appear energetic and outgoing to others, even though they experience long periods of introverted focus and analysis. INTPs tend to appear laid-back and reserved to others, even though they have bouts of excitement and enthusiasm.
INTPs desire to be independent and self-reliant much more than ENTPs. They tend to think they are the only person who can do the job perfectly, according to the standards set by them. ENTPs aren’t as reluctant to ask for help.
When ENTPs have an idea, they jump at it and would rather change the obstacles in the world that prevent its execution, rather than change the idea itself. When INTPs have an idea, they take their time to customize it to fit both the rules of the world around them and to live up to their standards.
“ENTPs are on an eternal quest for possibility, backed up by logic and accuracy. INTPs are on an eternal quest for truth, backed up by possibility.”
Hope this helps! I would recommend reading these two profiles for the two types, as they are good and go into functions:
ENTP
INTP
You might also wanna check the 16personalities profiles, they don’t go into functions, but I like them (even though they have a HUGE iNtuitive bias)

Characteristics of the INFP Personality
1. We’re selectively observant.

Cube here, incoherent ramble time ADHD typing with no editing and a tiny vague Dangan 2 reference somewhere along the lines let's goooo. So I'm a rare specimen, a real curiosity scholars have struggled to understand for millennia; I'm an autistic extrovert.
I don't have a ton of friends, I don't seek friendships (I actually went into my job intending on keeping to myself and not making friends but it didn't work), but I love people, love talking, I've frequently been told to talk less. For years it's just been me and Circle, before that no friends to speak of. So I start this job and quickly become friends with two autistic coworkers, one male and one female. And I've had like no exposure to healthy relationships in my life so I'm like "Circle is it cool of I have friends?" and she's of course like "um what the fuck I don't control who you associate with, you're your own person" but like in a way nicer way than that. So the male friend admitted he had a crush on me but it was pretty clearly in that lonely "wow a member of my preferred gender was nice to me" way and I made it clear that I'm gay and have a girlfriend and he and I will never be more than friends. He came to my house once and we both just sat in silence while we watched dumb shit on TV, he spent the whole time drawing while I was knitting and hardly two words were exchanged between us. 99% of our conversations revolve around art because the basis for our friendship is that we both draw. And some family members are like "you're leading him on!" and when I go "he knows I'm a lesbian AND that I have a girlfriend," this one gross family member is like "that'll just make him eben more interested And like dude not everyone is a sick fuck who gets hard when they remember lesbians exist. And then today my female buddy calls me crying over some personal issues and I spent the whole day freaking out about it, I have hyper-empathy and mix that with my thought process where if I can't fix a problem it haunts me and you've got a recipe for anxiety. So I didn't work today but I popped in to give her a card I made her because I'm bad with words and when someone is sad or I want to show affection my go-to is arts and crafts. So then one family member is like "is she into girls? What if she takes this the wrong way?" And it's like honey calm down not everyone is neurotypical. But seriously what kind of piece of shit would I have to be to use a person's vulnerability to get into their pants? Also she knows I have a girlfriend. And then another family member was like "what if this sends the wrong message" so I said she's not gonna tale it lile that. And he said he's not worried about her, he's worried about other people. And like. Okay? Someone asks of we're dating, I say no. What, are we gonna get hate-crimed for me giving her a card? Not to male light of such a thing but I've been openly gay the entire time I've worked here like what's the big deal.
Are the straights/neurotypicals okay? They do know you can have non-familial platonic relationships ooooooor?? Is gift-giving now inherently romantic? That's news to me. So the logical part of me is saying this is dumb but I've got this nagging worm yelling in my ear abd I'm like "I'M CHEATING ON CIRCLE!!!!?!?!?!?!!?!!?!!"
Anyway this is how Kazuichi thinks: big chunks of text with no transitions between ideas abd some anxiety sprinkled here and there. Okay bye.

Three Finnish Habits That Will Make You A More Successful Entrepreneur - Chuck Hildebrant
My recent visit to Helsinki, Finland, quickly revealed a city that boasts a vibrant ecosystem of over 500 thriving startups, as well as hoards of ambitious entrepreneurs hungry to disrupt the tech scene. Little could I have guessed that Finland was a hotbed for entrepreneurship: investments into Finnish tech startups went up by 42% in 2016 and have quadrupled since 2011!
After spending some time with the startup community, it became very clear to me why the Finnish are thriving in the tech, design, and innovation spaces. I believe their entrepreneurial prowess can be attributed to a unique philosophy that’s deeply rooted in their culture. Most notably, their grit, diplomacy, and ability to navigate between tradition and modernity sets them apart and makes them very good at what they set their mind to, both as people and as entrepreneurs.
My time in Finland revealed three habits that entrepreneurs looking to grow a successful business can incorporate and learn from:
Sisu: Get The Job Done, No Matter What
The Finnish live by the concept of “sisu,” a unique and untranslatable word that roughly translates to perseverance, strength of will, resilience, determination, and survivalism.
Sisu embodies a philosophy of getting the job done, no matter the cost, and even more importantly, to do so with integrity. Sisu is not just about getting what you want; it is a quality that asks you to act in the face of adversity, learn from failure, do what you promised, and push through with what you’ve set your mind to. No excuses.
Chuck Hildebrant - Whatever enterprise, passion, or business you choose to pursue, do it with “sisu”: persist in your goals, get the job done well, protect your integrity, and commit to seeing success to the end. Most importantly, sustain the courage and strength to act and hold your vision despite the hardships.
Sauna Culture: Treat Everyone With The Same Respect
The sauna is an integral part of Finnish culture (fun fact: there is an average of one sauna per household in Finland!) and a place where Finns go to relax physically and mentally. It is also a meditative and respective space where people build relationships, whether it be friendships, agreements, or even important political and business decisions.
Regardless of social status, everyone at the sauna is mostly or fully naked– when I asked why, a Finn joked that this makes sense since “naked you were born, naked you will die.” The Finnish are known for their diplomacy and successful democracy, and this tradition is reflective of a cultural belief that, at the end of the day, we are all the same.
Consequently, there is a pay-it-forward mentality in the workplace that encourages people who are ahead in their career to give back to the community and help those who are more junior. This “we’re in this together” attitude is one that any entrepreneur can benefit from: after all, part of successful entrepreneurship is always evolving and learning, and insights can come from all kinds of people. Anyone, at any level or walk of life, can offer you value and vice versa.
In your personal life and your business, find ways to support your community and collaborate rather than compete with others. Everyone around you will grow because of it.
Appreciation of Contrast: Balance Practicality With Innovation
Finland is an extreme country, both geographically (for example, the Midnight Sun and winter darkness, the East's and West's drastic genetic differences, and the distinct divide between urban and rural areas) as well as culturally.
To list some examples of Finnish contrasts: the people appear outwardly withdrawn but are very hospitable and kind when spoken to (as the Finnish joke goes, “an introverted Finn looks at his shoes when talking to you; an extroverted Finn looks at your shoes”), they're known for their modesty but there is tons of national pride for Finnish accomplishments, and they live simply yet strive to excel. Most notably, it is completely normal and expected to jump into a freezing cold lake or ocean after being in a steaming hot sauna – and to continue doing so for a couple of hours!
Despite being rooted in tradition, Finland has become one of the world’ most modern and technologically advanced nations. It was truly inspiring, for example, to see how the Finns strike a balance between being hyper-connected and innovative, while also making the time to recharge and disconnect in nature - Chuck Hildebrant.
This integration of extremes has made the Finns extremely practical yet also innovative entrepreneurs: it’s only a population of six million people, yet they make around 15,000 inventions every year. As a Finnish entrepreneur I interviewed said, this cultural appreciation for contrast helps startups be nimble, think big, and “very good at getting rid of traditions that don’t work.”
My time in Helsinki reminded me that when you’re constantly testing your limits, it pays off. While it’s important to stay practical and grounded when running a business, allow yourself to dream big and create the conditions for innovation to thrive.
